Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

The simple fact that President Obama mentioned Mr. Limbaugh by name is sufficient to demonstrate that the President does indeed fear Mr. Limbaugh or at the very least feels the need to marginalize him. What I find astounding is that someone as intelligent as the President is alleged to be, must surely know that attacks on Mr. Limbaugh will serve only to strengthen the resolve of those opposed to his ideology. The President and his advisors would do well to remember that 58 Million Americans did not want him in the White House.

Why would Obama wish to silence a voice? The greatest thing about our country is that we can and should listen to voices from all over the political spectrum and then make decisions about how to vote. Agree or don't agree with Limbaugh.. fine. The fact is, there must be something to what he is saying otherwise he wouldn't have one of the the most popular talk radio shows on.. Attack his ideas.. not the man for having and promoting them. If you listen to him with an open mind (aren't libs supposed to be open-minded?), you might find there is actually a lot of truth to what he says. And if there isn't, why be so threatened or outraged?

    Rush Limbaugh,

How can a man that has so many ideas about our country say that Obama is frightened. Limbaugh why havent you ran for office and put your ideas in motion. Mr. Limbaugh answer this question, for a man that has years of reporting over the state of this country and knows truly what will work and what doesn't by following the trail of history, how about you on the air, tell the United States what will be the answer to every issue that the world has. Remember get it right, and don't be frightened of the U.S. listeners. You have to understand, The President is trying to come up with a solution to everything and we all have to help in any kind of way that we know how. Unlike you, we the people don't want him to fail.

Too wish that the President fails, is to wish that America fails. How anti-american! Rush should go do his show in Afganistan or Iraq, where his freaking comments would be valuable. Our President is afraid of no one. All of our Presidents are great men of strength and integrity. Did all of them make the right decision? No but all of them did make decisions on the best interests of America. Rush Limbaugh isn't practicing conservatism, he is practicing hate. I wouldn't be amazed to find out he is in the Klan.

    To Whom This May Concern;

Mr. Limbaugh has long suffered the illusion that he is the grand pu-bah of the Right and the Conservative Republican Party in general. His commentary has always been hateful and one-sided. This is typical of the type of small mind that inhabits the body of an adult who can't get over loosing whatever contest he's in.

His remarks about wanting President Obama to "fail" are similar to his remarks about the, ".........White House being held hostage." during the Clinton administration. But what Mr. Limbaugh may not have taken into consideration is that his remarks also indicate that he would like the American people to "fail" as well! Maybe he just doesn't get it. All of us are in this situation that his "hero", George W. Bush allowed.

If you don't like the present situation or our countries new President Mr. Limbaugh, maybe you should go somewhere else to live and spout your hatetred there. I'm sure you and the Iranian, North Korean, or other "goose stepping" cultures can find a ready made audience behind the barbed wire.

It is amazing how for the last 8 years it was OK to call the President of the United States anything and everthing. But, don't disagree with Obama. Or speak your mind, because no one can say anything against him. Some of us haven't drank the koolaid.

I hear name calling from all sides. "Love" Rush or "Hate" Rush isn't none of my partaking. His rhetoric is irelevent. My concern is the ability of the people is to see such rubbish and press further. The luxuries of recent glory has faded. Work and perserverance has fallen, like past generations of American past. So the expressions and self-righteosness of one guy, who chooses fearful and divisive tactics to empower his thought, shouldn't derail the need to advance American enlightenment.

I have no idea why Rush Lim"baster" thinks he has something of importance to share with the American people.

Apparently he loves to hear his own words, whether he has anything meaningful to say or not, it doesn't matter.

Most of his rantings could just as well have been written for the Enquirer or similar type , so called newspapers.

The shame of all this, is that here is a commentator being paid millions for absolute crap while others are losing their homes, jobs and livelihood.

If this man is indicative of the voice and reasoning of the Republican Party then it is very understandable their lose this election time. It also shows his self-centered un-American ways. I did not vote for Mr. Bush but when he was president he was my president and I wanted him and America to suceed whether I agreed with his policeis or not. This man is truly a racist and as un-Aamerican as any one can get.

Charlie from Maine can't spell, and, like most of the lib commenters on here... he must be a pill-popping clown that eats too many cheeseburgers, hence he is fat, and he will go to hell, is a loud mouth idiot, a gas bag, venemous, a drug addict, unamerican, and likes to spread hatred. I don't see Charlie on any ballot for president or any other office. Obama is not afraid of Charlie! Charlie is a tool! Charlie is an ignorant, red-neck, gun-totting, Bible thumping yokel. Charlie is a loud mouth narcissist SOB. Charlie is s unamerican and a traitor to this country. Charlie is in extinction, Rush is still thrashing around in the sewer. I just wish the alligators would get him. Even more sad is that there are people out there who still think he has something to say. That's more scary.

Limbaugh is a joke! His ego is that inflated he believes that the leader of the free world really gives a rat's ...about him! Obama may be concerned about Limbaughs NAZI sympathies though. Or didn't you know?
