Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

I doubt Obama is afraid of Rush, but it is definitely plausible he is afraid of dissent against his policies. Woe to anyone who dares to question the pronunciations of "fact" from this Administration: you will be branded as either racist, un-American, or be subject to the rude and idiotic comments of far-left partisans (see below)

I love Gibbs resopnse to this! Tell him "hi" which in this case has a lot of meaning. It tells Rush and everyone else that agrees with him that Obama doesn't care what he says otherwise he would make his case against him.

Why am I not surprised that in this article and like everywhere else Limbaugh's words are taken out of context. When asked if wanted Obama to fail he said, as a conservative, that he hoped Obama's liberal policy fails.

Any Liberal would want a Conservative President to fail in policy, so why the outrage with Limbaugh's words?

    Keyword here, POLICY.

Limbaugh is getting paid about 10-15 million dollars a year to keep people stirred up – so is Sean Hannity.
They are the voices for the idiots.
Anyway, those 2 caused millions ofpeople to flock to the polls to vote for Obama, me being one.
So, let them spew their filth – theres another election coming up. 😉

First, I am not Democrat or Republican, but a true conservative, It is easy to see in these comments, you Democratic/Socialist types refuse to look and listen to opposing points of view whatsoever. I want our country to get through these trying times and return to prosperity. You would do well to monitor all the "change" coming up that you voted for, and take some notes, so that in a few years you will be able to track the erosion of your first and second ammendment rights, blatent disregard for the constitution (already has taken place) and just how detrimental socialism is for a democracy.

    Peace and Love to all!

I am glad that Limbaugh is speaking out, as radical and boisterous as he may be. Why? Because I feel I am witnessing a sleepwalking America that has given up its critical faculties in the wake of Obama's arrival. His inauguration speech was...a speech...I yawned at the cliches. More telling, his nomination of Geitner as Treaury Secretary was abominable and hypocritical. What a start...to nominate a guy who "forgot" to cough up $34,000 bucks on his federal taxes. Ah, but we can overlook that, right? Congress is about to. You see, Obama is now your emperor. With fear, he will sway U.S. suckers to print a TRILLION dollars on an economic plan that major economist imply is either a shot in the dark or a waste of money. Ah, but Obama will save us, right? The banks got their money...but still are not lending to qualified people. A year from now, you will find Americans more cynical about their government than ever before. Good for you, Limbaugh...perhaps you have made at least a few souls step back from their hypnotic trance. I understand you when you say you hope "he will fail." His bipartisanship is a smokescreen...and this green (black) ideologue is shooting in the dark. Let us hope that there will be some souls in Congress who will have the courage to challenge the current economic "solution" which is sure to see the taxpayers dollars (along with who knows how many millions of newly printed bills) do little more than try to appease the public for a short while.

From an Independent's perspective, it is unfortunate that the extreme fringes of the two main political parties will continue to tear down the other side without understanding the (positive) core values of each political party. In the case of Mr. Limbaugh, I wonder what Bible he reads and/or religion he practices? Could it be the way over to the extreme far right? I wonder... Fortunately – I believe – an overwhelming majority of voters spoke loud and clear – YES WE CAN!

    Poor pathetic Limbaugh.

Here's a word of advice to Limbaugh. Give it a rest. If you are not happy with the way things are in the United States, then move! It's really that simple. Can we please move on to bigger and better things than having to deal with this guy's constant whining? Can I get a "ditto"?

The President is telling people not to listen to a radio host!?!
Will the President tell people not to listen to the local guy on the corner every Tuesday afternoon? Why not a CNN host or local TV station? A president stooped to this level – stupid.
Essentially, the President chided them that if they listen to idiots they wll act it. If you want to get along with US, you must think and do like US Dems. Where's the rationale? Ask this: Why can't Dems try to get along with Reps and why can't Reps be Reps and not Dem-lites?
