Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

I'm pretty sure Obama is worrying about "big boy" problems, and real politicians, and not a shock jock like Limbaugh. Limbaugh should feel honored that Obama even knows his name. Know your roll Rush, go back to Hollywood and let the real politicians run Washington.

Most people who listen to Rush are crazy, who in their right mind listens to this cracker jack ,who pops pills to keep his sanity, anyway?my suggestion, CNN report on the real issues, so that Americans can be more educated about the governments as democracy is useless when people are illiterate or stupid.
To that effect, CNN might want to look at Financial times or even BBC which stay away from sensationalized nonsence and stop using media for divisiveness.

I think that Obama's actions with the GOP will speak louder than Rush's unpatriotic words. I'm not sure what is motivating Rush – publicity, anger, whatever, but he will be proved to be the fool and left behind as this nation unifies....

I like obtaining different sources for information/news because the local news can be extremely lopsided and limited.
If you do not like what a person says, discuss the matter if it's worthy of your time or don't listen. There is no need to put down or call names; you lose in rationale and debates if you do.
Does Obama want to kill free speech on the radio just as Pelosi does? Will Obama next tell Rush, "You can speak all you want, but is anyone listening?" Liberal radio keeps kicking the bucket,; Rush did'nt. Who else is to shut up? What issues can't be discussed?
Obama just put others down to prop himself and others up. This is called bullying and puts everyone down.

I've been listening to Rush since he was on radio. I've seen him go from a very information man to a weak minded blowhard who should just get his stupid cigars and go sit on the beach and rot!!!!

"Rush Limbaugh : Largest talk show audience with 20 million listeners and growing!! How do you Libs explain that???"

There really is no explanation for how 20 million people can be so dumb.

Limbaugh makes money by making outlandish overstatement and half truths to get attention. It saddens me to hear that there are so many naive and gullible people in the US willingly to support his habits. My guess is our president is as frightful of Limbaugh as a barking dog! On second thought, I don't consider him as an American.

The President was not warning the Republican leadership out of fear of the man but of fear for the country. The United States does not need our leaders to take advise from a fool, whos facts are often fiction and who has stated that he wants the President of the United States of America to fail. He doesn't say this for the good of his country, but for ratings, for himself.

The American people desaerve better and our leaders know that. The President is asking these men to put our country above themselves and not do as some have done, putting themselves above their country.

I'm not a fan of Rush, but this is exactly what he wants. All of you have commented both favorably and unfavorably about this dude. The bottom line is that we really need to move on. Rush is not going away any time soon, and as long as you fuel his fire, he'll be lit up forever.

President Obama, I salute you on your efforts for trying to usher in a bipartisan effort. After all, everyone really wants the same outcome. There are just different opinions of how to get there. Keep pushing for it and you won't fail.

Rush – You are narrow minded person, you have no vision and you will see What Obama will do in 1 year will be more than Bush in his 8 years.
Obama is a man of his words and he will be a President we all will be proud of like Clinton.

Rush is a far cry from an intellectual heavyweight. No one is frightened of him, with the possible exception of his housekeeper should she fail to bring back his "cabbage". A Rush suffering from Oxycontin withdrawl is probably something one would want to avoid.

The guy has not even started to work he has all kinds of negative comments to say about him. I don't get this we're telling other country how they need to love each other and make peace and we've got a guy who does not have a college degree, a drug addict with no moral telling people what to think, how to behave and how to react. Seriously people whether you are a democrats or republicans please stop thinking they way Rush think nobody wants to divide this country again. Limbaugh does nothing for this country besides running his mouth trying to creat division and making lots of money. $30 millions a year people remember this is what he gets plus bonus. All he does is sit in his little room and spread hate and anger. Anyone who listens to that fool is an idiot just like him. Sorry Limbaugh we are smarter than you. Obama is not affraid of you. Obama is telling the world to make peace something you don't know how to do or at least have the knowledge to think like a educated person. Shame on you! all you care about is money and your drug. you don't care about this country.
