Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Whatever Rush- what a big old bag of wind you are. You and Ann Coulter are a big waste of resources- water, air and food. You need to put the crack pipe down.

CNN don't you have anything else to report on? Rush Limbaugh is an embaressment to every white American. He is as Anti-American as you can get. I don't care what this low life druggie has to say! Let's stick to real issues!

"Watch now as I attempt to further embitter my listener base by casting myself as the sole defender of Conservative ideology!"

Look, folks, this whole obsession with President Obama's "Messianic" status has gone too far. Everyone I know who voted for him (myself included) voted for a departure from the policies of the previous administration; we did not vote for him out of some misguided belief that he would be the one true redeemer of our country. Honestly, the only people I've ever heard use the labels, "Messiah," "redeemer," "Chosen One," and the like are the people who are trying to bash President Obama.

The bottom line is that Obama's a politician, just like all the rest. He will do things even his supporters will not like, and he may occasionally say one thing and then do another. But hey, he's got a long history of Presidents who've done the very same thing to justify himself with whenever he falls short of the lofty goals he's set for himself, right?

Really, it's folks like Limbaugh that put the microscope to things no one in their right mind should care about. Political commentators of all stripes do nothing more than dumb down the national dialogue, and it's sad; that goes for Limbaugh, Olbermann, O'Reilly, Brown and all the rest. If it's likely to incite outrage, that's what they go for.

Be smarter than that, people. Ask your own questions, find your own answers, and don't let some self-important talking head form your opinions for you.

Let me say, as a conservative Republicen, Limbaugh is the first person that just makes me want to puke. Like most people who earn their money with their mouth, it's all about finding ANY topic that causes people to react regardless of it's merit.

Why in the world would the President of the United States be afraid of a pill headed idiot like Rush Limbaugh...Barack Obama has more intelligence in his little finger than Rush has in his fried brain. I sure hope the conservatives keep listening to their dopehead leader.

Limbaugh is like an annoying gnat on the arse of humanity. Obama's right. He should be ignored. Limbaugh is being given a lot more importance than he deserves. Let's not let his great big pumpkin head get any bigger by letting him get under our skin. Oops! I've resorted to insults. For shame!

Sure Limbaugh..I think you have it wrong. You're the one who's frightened. If he succeeds, you're screwed..and so is your party.

Poor Rush–it must be the Oxycontin giving him that sense of invincibility. Maybe he should take another trip to the Dominican Republic to blow off some of that steam with more underage hookers. Don't forget the Viagra, Rush!

Obama afraid of Limbaugh? That's got to be the joke of the century (Two centuries!).

Obama has been in front of the public, taking questions, debating the opponents, doinginterviews, for two years. Limbaugh has not come out, once, from the safety of his microphone. Not once. Ever.

    Now, who is afraid?

What a pompous windbag. Obama isn't afraid of him! Obama laughs at Rush's idiocy. He knows that rush is too busy making up lies to have anything of any importance for people to hear.

Look at the inauguration alone, they are screaming about the costs adn comparing it to 2005, while LEAVING OUT THE SECURITY COSTS FROM 2005 adn including them in the Obama costs!! Bush spent almost the SAME amount.

    frakking hypocrits.

Well, people are just naturally afraid of drug addicts like Rush Limbaugh. They tend to not make good decisions much of the time, make little sense in most of the things they say, they're too busy worrying about their next fix, and, generally, are unpleasant to be around.

It's not so much that's he might be afraid of you, he's probably more concerned about your gun toting, God fearing, irrational thinking base that listens to your show. Plus your philosophy is what has gotten us into this mess, quit dividing the country more so than it already is, most of us are tired and want solutions.

I am sure Obama is not frightened of Limbaugh, but of the hate rhetoric that he keeps shoveling out. Promoting hate and hateful attitudes will be Rush's legacy as he goes down, when intelligent free thinking people no longer want to hate their neighbors and move on into the next social realm that promotes goodwill and hard fought stability. Limbaugh we are tried of your hateful ways. Do you really enjoy enticing others to hate, or is it just an easy way for you to line your pockets and the expense of others? Go away...

    Afraid of him? Limbaugh?

The only people who should be afraid of Limbaugh are the mouth-breathing bigots he leads around on a leash.

Thinking people will not be afraid of this drug-addicted blowhard.

These are the childish politics to which we have sunken. At a critical time when it is SO important for all Americans to unify and work toward the rebuilding of this country, it is obvious that the Right has no intention of changing its character (or downright lack thereof). The fact that this tired windbag of a pundit is STILL allowed to belch his bullying comments all over the airwaves for us to endure is proof enough of that. I would expect behavior like this from children in a schoolyard, not from a so-called spokesperson of a major political party. Once again ....WAKE UP folks..the election is over; time for the sour grapes to be washed away and all of us to act like Ladies & Gentlemen. Think ya can swing that??!
