Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Wow, that sounds really pathetic Rush. Maybe Obama is complaining about you because you care more about scoring points than about helping this country. Remember when he told us not question Bush because questioning a president is unpatriotic? How the world turns. According to his own argument, Rush is completely unpatriotic and unamerican and he should be forced to resign his talk show.

The only thing Obama has to fear from Limbaugh is the unlikely event that Limbaugh falls on him during one of Limbaugh's drug-induced stupors.

Rush is one of the big (rotund) reasons that I have drifted away from the GOP over the past 15-20 years. His hate-filled diatribes are intended only to divide our country. It's a sad display of one's need for attention and ego-stroking, selfishly putting his personal needs ahead of what's best best for our country. He could be doing much good, but chooses instead to go and stay negative.

Rush Limbaugh is a terrorist! He should be tried for treason! That bag of hot air has been allowed to spew his venom long enough. Time to rid ourselves of him and his femaile counterpart, Ann Coulter, for good. They are both idiots just trying to stir up trouble and make a buck off it. Enough!

This guy is so washed-up, he's following the MO of his protege Ann Coulter. Say the most outrageous things you can to garner attention. What a pathetic piece of trash he is. Says alot about his audience, too.

Obama isn't frightened of Rush, he just wants Rush to stop wasting everyone's time. Rush's mocking comments about "the great unifer" are ironic, coming from such a divisive person. Go away, Rush..........

he should be... everybody should be. rush limbaugh has caused more damage and destruction to this country than any single person ever has. his idealogy and beliefs are the sole reason for the pending demise of this great nation. obama wants nothing more than to stop limbaugh from continuing to tear apart this country by the seems, but I don't know what can be done at this point. unfortunately rush will not stop, he cares about nothing but his ratings and making money regardless of the cost.

as long as people keep listening to he has to say there will never be a UNITED states of america. there is nothing the democrats can do in the eyes of rush limbaugh that will be positive. i just wish people would realize that rush doesnt care about conservative or liberal views, he only cares about making sure the republican party wins.

This guy is a joke! He makes republicans look stupid, and I know they all aren't. He should shut up and get real. Give Obama a chance. He inherited a mess, no matter who you want to blame. I support President Obama and so should ALL Americans. I guess Limbaugh is saying Obama ain't afraid of nobody on the Hill! Go Obama, that's Mr. President.

  19. Credible

I have a hard time being convinced by Limbaugh's rhetoric. He's the coward who hid behind his Clear Channel bosses when he made highly offensive comments regarding "pretend soldiers" in the past. He did not want to admit his mistakes and was not "man enough" to apologize for making a goof.

Now we hear that he wants Obama to fail. Why?!

Why would anyone wish ill when our country is in trouble?

This Limbaugh may have a right to an opinion but I also have a right as a former disenchanted Republican – to say "screw you Limbaugh!"

See this would actually shock someone if it wasnt already well known that Rush is the biggest racist biggot alive and its sickening how he has listeners and still has a platform to spread his so-called conservative views. All Rush needs to make his act complete is a white sheet....
