Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”
“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”
Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.
"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

President Obama welcomes discussion, conversation, and discourse...but not diatribes focusing on people's fears.
I agree with President Obama we should all stop listening to this drug addict who can't keep his marriages together. Rush Limbaugh calls himself the moral conscience of America and his personal life is no example. Practice what you preach rush, until then I'm not buying.
Rush wants the attention and if not for the people who listen to him, he would have no power. I doubt Obama will mention him again and he probably only wanted to address the nonsense once to truly encourage bipartisanship. The people that listen to him should at least admit that he's been known as a drug addict.

More precisely, Obama surely realizes great danger of extremists like this radio host. Everybody should realize how dangerous extremists are. I am indeed very afraid that they may launch something as bad as last eight years in some other form. When greed and extreme ideology help each other, country may end up in ruin.
Why does the media even give Rush Limbaugh the time of day? To say he hopes Obama fails, says he hopes we fail as a country and as a world. It is ridiculous that the President even needs to waste time talking about this person.
Frightened? How about "Obama dismisses me"?
Face it, Rush, you're a fringe player. The far-right wing will always adore you, but the rest of the country wants to get something done. Agree or disagree with the President, give and take until the plans are in the best, most workable shape, then work TOGETHER.

The fact of the matter is that Rush and all his right wing hack radio and TV show contemporaries did all they could to keep McCain from winning the republican primary. they failed. They don't even have the power in their own party to influence outcome. They then tried to stop Obama but failed, badly.
Rush is fading. He is a small pocket of no power.

I believe Mr. Limbaugh should be more concerned about our economy (getting out of recession) than taking on Obama who in fact is his president. Saying that Mr. Obama is frightened of him isnt the best message to his listerners.
I'm scared of drug abuser Rush Limbaugh – who wouldn't be frightened of a guy who spouts hatred and invective for hours at a time? Sure wouldn't want to be in a room alone with that nut case.

The Obama administration must continue to keep the high road and avoid this type of distraction. Rush and his cronies know their voices are no longer resonating in the lives of everyday people and now they are running scared seeking cheap publicity.
