Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

I wonder what would have happened if Bush had ever singled out private citizens like oh...say Mathews or Oberman or Oprah or Joy or Baldwin or just about anyone in Hollywood. We will never know because Bush was not a whiner like BO.

Who is Obama to think that he can tell ANYONE who they should and shouldn't listen to on the radio.

This is a SHINING example of the censorship efforts that are about to begin in the Congress and White House.

Obama's attitude smacks of the belief that he is a king and it is DISGUSTING.

I'd be scared of him too. His words incite racism and anger in millions of Americans. But then again, bullies are usually scared of things too...

Why do people listen to this loser?

Ooops, I forgot that a majority of Americans don't believe in evolution.

Maybe someday they'll climb down out of those trees.

Seriously now, Rush needs to get a life and a hobby. His ego is too big for his fat head and statements like these are only hurting the country at a time we need unity.

President Obama's desire to silence Rush Limbaugh is consistent with his M.O. Bill Clinton said that (then Presidential candidate) Obama had the political instincts of a street thug. Perhaps he hit the nail on the head. If you follow President Obama's career you would see his method is more to eliminate any opposition rather than incorporate various points of view. Republicans have three things they must do for the next four years. Oppose, expose then depose. They should not give the Democrats Political cover under the guise of supporting the president.

  13. Obama is afraid of the truth

President Obama has turned over the the dark side of DC and has embraced the partisan politics of Pelosi and Reid. He is fast becoming the model of hypocrisy.

PS Thanks for appointing a tax cheat and liar to head the IRS adn Treasury.

PPS $250 million for condoms, and millions more for swimming pools sure does not sound like a stimulus bill - it wreaks of pork. Maybe that is why Senator McCain said he could not vote for it.

Mr President, you lied to us all.

Rush is a joke and the attention given to his statement(s) is a joke.

Just about every hardcore far-righter/neo-con wants whatever Dem is POTUS to fail so his statement to that fact was simple political banter.

If Rush believes, because PRESIDENT Obama referenced his style of trash-talking as un-beneficial to the country and the tasks at hand, as someone not to listen to, then his head is as big as that contract the radio station gave him.

Rush and Hannity are two of the birds on the national level that USED to be entertaining to listen to when stuck in traffic. Now, they are useless to the nation.

This country HAS to work together to find middle-ground solutions to these problems that will affect most of us – rich and poor – sooner or later.

I don't agree with far left policies for social or fiscal issues.

I don't agree with far right policies for social or fiscal issues.

I agree with the policies we middle moderates promote on our websites and in our homes...

"Most problems should be solved first in the home by prevention and education. Any government involvement should be few, far between, and at a systemic/institutionalized level that does not stymie individual achievement, risk/reward, or responsibilities".

Rush AND Hannity are boisterous, boorish bores...and Boortz is a wannabe.

I agree with President Obama, Mr. Limbaugh is so negative with all the hatred he seems to dish out. People should avoid listening to his conservative talk show which only fuel the fire to failure and doesn't allow faith, hope and a better future for all who listens. Avoid Mr. Limbaugh like the plague.

This person is nothing but a bully; I wonder if he would dare to be so unpatriotic by disrespecting our President were the President not black. Instigating his listeners to not be united under Pres. Obama is not in the best interest of our country.

Childish as ever, Rush is resorting to schoolyard tactics. Next he'll be drawing a line in the sand with his big toe. Couldn't he just quietly go away and let us get something done?
