Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

It's probably not worth reporting what Rush has to say these days. He's irrelevant, and more concerning...he's irritating. There are probably more positive stories to report.

Good advice and long overdue. Nobody should ever listen to Rush Limbagh...seriously. I can't believe he makes money doing what he does.

Blardo limbaugh is one of the biggest things that have been wrong with this country in the last 8 years. The other troubling problem is the dunderheads that listen to him and give him one iota of credence

This guy is becoming so Irrelevant, so dinosaur like, so in the past and so goofy.....why is anyone giving him anytime anymore? It’s a shame that some one in the past gave him some mega amount of money to be a mouthpiece. Sorry for the excess spending corporate heads but don’t keep trying to get your moneys worth. America isn’t buying his BS anymore. He himself says he’s just an entertainer....get off the stage Rush – no one wants to hear about you anymore.

Who does Rush think he's kidding? I think Obama meant something more like "This guy doesn't have anything worthwhile to say in this discussion, so don't waste your time listening to him." Rush, If the only way you can feel worthwhile is to cut someone else down, you need to get a life and another job that gives you an opportunity to find another direction.

The fact that Obama acknowledges Rush speaks volumes of Obama's lack of stature. You are the President for God's sake, start acting like it.

Afraid he'll EAT HIM, maybe. Man, Rush. An ego only matched by your turkey neck. And your suitcase full of narcotics.

We are all scared of you Rush. The oly thing more frightening than an idiot with a microphone is a hypocritical idiot with a microphone who loves himself.

Rush is an idiot. He is a manipulative, lying, racist, narcissist, who must still be taking prescription drugs illegally. Combine that with an ego larger than Texas and you have a pathetic individual looking for any way to stay in the spotlight. Before the next 4 years are up, Rush won't matter anymore, as if he ever did.

Rush to usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love? He need to marry Ann Coulter. This would be the news story of the centure.

Quite the contrary. Rush is scared of Obama.

It's great to see first Palin and now Limbaugh try to figure out how to stay relevant as the world shifts away from their failed ideology.

I love it! The right wing radio fear and hate-mongers got their clocks cleaned in the election. So rather than accept reality and chart a new course, these dinosaurs continue to either rant and rave or tell their well-informed educated audiences (as if!) how brilliant and powerful they are. Keep up the good work guys (and gals)!

Rush must be back on the 30+ Oxycontin a day. The reason that Barack would tell the GOP politicians to not listen to Rush is not because he is afraid of him (hilarious!) but because Rush is a cancer that needs to be stopped. The more that people listen to that insane man, the worst things will be and we will never be able to come together.

Limbaugh is an egomaniac and a bigot. He made unsubstantiated race based criticisms of Donovan McNabb as beign media hype despite his success of taking his team to the divisional playoffs multiple times. And his overall body of criticisms of Obama boil down to no black person gets anywhere or achieves anything by merit unless it was an affirmative action handout. His comments about Obama's race, his victory, and his policies are all testiment to Limbaughs underlying prejudice and bigotry toward black people.

Anyone else who said they wanted the POTUS to fail would be taken off of the air. I guess Clearchannel's $100 milliion investment (despite them laying off/firing hundreds of other employees) is testament to the hollowness and frustration of so many other Americans. If Limbaugh really cares about people and America, he should renegotiate his contract to save a few of those people's jobs.

Limbaugh is a bigot. There is no law against it. But that doesn't mean he shouldn't be recognized for what he is.

Rush Limbaugh, Obama is not 'frightened of you'. It is about time you get the message, OBAMA is president. No matter what you say will change this fact, accept it and be happy.

Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter, are two of the best friends the Democratic Party ever had!

Anyone who takes them seriously is as delusional as they are.

It will be a sad day when these motivators of liberals get less air-time.
