Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Hey Rush why is it that you and all the other Obama haters didn't speak up in Nov, Dec, and waited until January 20 at 12:06 to take your shots at the economic condition. No one is afraid of Rush Limbaugh, anymore than there afraid of the Big Bad Wolf.

I'm hoping that you NEVER get the chance to speak directly to the President. That kind of hatred is nothing new

    January 26, 2009 07:10 pm at 7:10 pm |

That right Rush. Our President is scared of a Oxycotin poppin' moron who can't even speak coherent sentences. Thanks for the joke though. It made my day.

Instead of wishing for President Obama to fail, Mr. Limbaugh needs to be doing all he can to help this country move forward. We need more bipartisanship and a whole lot less of the back biting and finger pointing!!!! I am ashamed to call myself a Republican. Grow up Mr. Limbaugh and give the man a chance!!!

All people of goodwill who want this country to be unified should boycott the corporations that support hatemongers such as Limbaugh.

These people make hundreds of millions of dollars by spewing their hate across the airwaves. They count in the support of the 10 or 15% of the country who are rabid racists, and who will never change. And these people seem to be stupid enough to celebrate a man who wants the President to fail...

They fail to understand that if Obama fails, then the country fails, and THEY are the ones who will be losing their jobs, etc. It is the Republicans who got us in this mess, and it is only the Democrats who will get us out of it. That's how its always been. Wake up, America. Boycott the companies that support Limbaugh and his divisive pals!

Will this man (and I use the term very loosely) stoop to any level to get attention and ratings?

First the hypocrisy of stating that all drug users should face capital punishment, then getting busted for drugs. Then the debateably treasonous/seditious statement that he hopes the Obama will fail (yeah, if the president fails, then we the american people who he represents fail as well). Now this?

When is he going to finally going to crawl into his little hate filled hole and fade into obscurity so the rest of us can get back to the job of fixing all of the screw ups that his religious right wing conservatives wrought on our fine nation over the last eight years?

Limbaugh is a hopeless, pathetic individual who has never held an honest job in his life. His Effluent in Bulk network is a joke to Americans who actually use their brain, those who studied and learned the complexities of life. I must admit that his ego is quite impressive, however. It's sad really - in 100 years, no one will know he existed, and that he surely did not matter. Those who actually do something in this world - in health, science, philosophy, the arts - will be remembered in work or deed Centuries into the future. But not the sorry losers like Limbaugh and his friends. It must be terrible to actually waste a life, as he has done. He could have used his talents to better humanity. Instead he has chosen divisiveness and whining (albeit at a high decibel level). Turn him off, and give him the attention he deserves.

Rush Windbag has an ego that just don't quit. How anyone could listen to him is beyond me. He wants Obama to fail and that says a lot about the man. As a former independent, I can say with absolute certainity that people like him and Hannity and Caribou Barbie have turned me into a Democrat and I'm proud of it.

Limbaugh needs to stop making such comments about the new president. Its like Limbaugh is not even open to new ideas. President Obama is generating new ideas to push the nation and the economy forward, like previous presidents before him. And how is Obama "frightened" of him? Why would Obama have any reason to be frightened of him when they work in different circles? Limbaugh does have the right to voice his opinions, but not lies. If Limbaugh is wanting the spotlight, he's getting one alright. And in my opinion, its completely negative.

This man is an ENTERTAINER. Nothing more, nothing less.

I know as much about politics and procedure as this bloated oaf. But because ignorant people have allowed him to be their spokesperson, he receives far more attention than he deserves.

Ditto-heads: THINK. READ. Then READ and THINK.

Do NOT allow Rush Limbaugh or anyone else dictate to you what you should believe.
