Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Ah, Rush got his feelings hurt. And, as usual, he completely misses the mark. What an ego.

Rush, people can't be unified if they are actively rooting for the President to fail.

Don't flatter yourself. President Obama isn't scared of you one bit. He already took the best you had to offer and was elected President.

When a man accuses another of being scared of himself. It means that the accuser is indeed scared of the man. It is an easy way to put his own shame off of himself. Laughable.

What sane American would be so treasonous to say that they hope their leader FAILS?

Rush is just looking for ratings.

Perhaps Rush's past drug use has got the best of him.

    It's a shame.

I highly doubt the president of the most powerful nation is afraid of a washed-up radio show host.

Limbaugh is like a Macy's parade balloon: huge, bloated, designed to entertain, and easily punctured. Of course, there is an important difference, in that the parade balloons have no delusions of grandeur and make us laugh with them, not at them.

It's over, loser. Take your war toys and go home.

It is about time we realize the "best and brightest" are neither. That goes both for Limbaugh and Obama. Two peas in a pod in the end. Both liars, and ego maniacs. And love to hear themselves talk.

This "man" always brings a smile to my face. It is just a joy to know that there is a special place in hell reserved for this troll. Over the course of his miserable career he has proven himself to be nothing more than a snake. He throws out a statement saying that he hopes Obama's policies fail and then when Obama responds he says look what he is saying about me everyone this is the great unifier!!! This "man" is a total waste of space and oxygen that someone that matters in life could be using. What a complete joke!!!!

Dear Rush (in case you read this – or can read),

You play to your psychotic fringe base every day, knowing full well that you are only doing so for the ratings.

No one is afraid of you. You an immaterial figure head of the far right extremists.

Sorry to tell you this, but the country has moved on. It is time for you to simply be quiet and let President Obama fix the mess that your fans have started.

Limbaugh has a small, small-minded following. So long as he has no ambition to do more, he will continue to preach his version of "Mr. Smith goes to Washington" and rake in personal wealth over it. He is one of the "haters", we will never be rid of their ilk, somewhat like the flu.

The only thing that President Obama is 'afraid' of with regard to Rush Limbaugh is the tremendous amount of methane emitted by Mr. Limbaugh.

Geez, is Rush nuts or what??? Wanting our new president to fail, and saying that Obama is afraid of him? Man, Rush is going whacko. Let's think positive and rally around the man we elected.

Mr. Limbaugh at least someone is trying to be a great unifier, it is obvious you are not, but then again you and I are Americans expressing our opinions, that's the power of our democracy right?

I like some of Mr. Limbaugh's traditional values but he frightens everyone when he wants our President to fail.He should make his case about programs which are bad but leave the hateful attitudes about our Presidents to the reactionaries on the left
