Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

President Obama is certainly not afraid of this cheap trick, Rush Limbaugh, What a completely stupid statement for Limbaugh to make.

Limbaugh is a mere footnote to history compared to President Obama. Most people have never even heard of Rush 'Bag Of Wind of the Air Waves' Limbaugh.

The only thing frightening about Limbaugh is the depth of his hatred for the American way of life. His radical reactionary rantings and ravings define modern Republicanism.

Shut up Rush Limbuagh – seems to me you had a problem with prescription drugs? Why should anyone respect you – you have zero credibility with a LOT of people. I doubt very seriously that ANYONE is afraid of you let alone Obama. By the way, have your ratings dropped? Are you THIS desperate to be the center of attention?

Oh, that's just the drugs talking. Rush is probably a good man when he's not all strung out like that.

Limbaugh is sucking the oxygen out of our country. My new question for men like him is: " What is your alternative?" I never, ever get an answer to that

This man is crossing the line. He needs to be taken off the air before he hypes hisself up to actually come out and threaten the president. It bad enough that he disrespects him publicly now to say that our United States President is afraid of him. What does that say to the rest of the world? Any one can threaten our president. Rush has crossed the line.

Rush Limbaugh is an incresasingly irrelevant historical artifact left over from the era of Republican domination. After eight glorious years in the ascendency his wing of the party managed to run the country into the ditch while at the same time effectively banishing themselves to the political wilderness for what could be a generation or more.

Time to pack it in Rush – nobody that matters is listening anymore.

Why should a person like President Obama who is trying to set high moral standards be afraid of a mean person and ex drug addict like Rush Limbaugh? Rush Limbaugh is really joking or under the influence of drugs when he made this statement.

Limbaugh, the only reason I and multitudes of people believe why you hate Obama, is because your ENVY his successful bid for the presidency. While he tries to build what your bigotry with the Republican President who ruined this country did, you have nothing to add that is constructive so you can only try to destroy Obama. You are definitely not American. SHAME ON YOU!

Rush Limbaugh is a boob. That's a descriptive term for one who is really irrelevant but needs to flap is jaw. People need only listen to his show for 5 minutes to hear that his agenda is unrealistic and worse, code for racism and fear-mongering.

Oh Rush, if only you weren't so self serving and actually did something to help steer the country in a proper direction. Anybody can comment on how bad someone's politics or ideas are, but it takes a real leader to actually step up and work for the people. If Rush were to run for a government position I'm sure his attempt would be met with laughter and perhaps some applause from the extremely conservative, but in the end he would fail because his only goal is to serve himself and his pocketbook. Get a real job Rush. Those who can do, those who can't just comment about how bad everybody else does it.

Obama can not lie to all those who see through his smoke screen. Rush is right, Obama is set to fail because when you put the foxes incharge of the hen house, the hens get eaten. Look whos incharge of the treasury, a crook who doesnt pay his taxes. That gives Obama an open checkbook to your tax dollars. Also look who is doing our foriegn affairs, A clinton who has more foreign money contacts that are all questionable.

Rush is right, Obama should worry about the more truths we find and I hope Rush brings all the lies of the demoncrates to the fore front for all to see.

I guess it's easier to criticize and try to stir up controversy than it is to try and be part of the solution. Looks like Rush is looking out for numero uno. No big suprise.

its time for this country to start supporting and/or challenging our political leaders though democratic processes and to stop listening to uneducated people who make a living off of ignorance and hate. I commend President Obama for working with republicans though these difficult and critical times.
