Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

that line is out of context, he wishes for his Ideological ideas to fail like health care, this large stimulus bill, and other things which he mentioned. He was on Hannedy a few days ago to explain the entire thing.

what the reporters should put up is 'I want Obama('s policies) to fail'

just to clarify what this small article doesn't

Why does Rush hate America so much that he wants our president to fail? What kind of response did he expect from such a stupid and divisive comment?

Rush Limbaugh is absolutely irrelevant. He's a megalomaniac too full of himself and his own opinions.

Rush is a great self promoting showman. He is not , nor has he ever been a news analyst. He has made talk radio into a great gig, but come on, his day as a serious force in the conservative movement is done. Why do he and Anne Coulter get to spew their outrageous venom in the main stream media? Barack obama is a communist, come on. These and other way out views that he spews on his website are amusing, but he is no newsperson, analyst or journalist. He is a propagandist with a sense of humor. It is great that he is able to make a good living, but let us remember his agenda- it is not to educate or cause debate-it is to stay in the public view and make the big cash. The founders would be proud of his business savvy,(I think he would make Ben Franklin laugh), but they would be surprised at his civic ignorance.Tom Paine was dangerous- Rush is a showman screaming at the sky. We are to smart as a nation to fall for his carnival tricks.

OH MY GOD! This man needs to be in a mental asylum. Does he really think anyone in the world is scared of him? Does he really think anyone in this world would take him seriously? My dog is more intelligent than him.
I am sure he, like his friend Palin, is uneducated and stupid

I've been listening to this guy and those like him for years (10) and he seems to want a chaos and blind devotion. He has convinced his zombie like worshipper that he is just one of them, a $40,000,0000/yr pore man, who's on their side and feels their pain by blatantly flaunting successes and privilege. An most of his worshippers and many of them at admit they worship at his alter literal words. He thinks he's a god because by mere suggestion he can persuade is minions to just about any end. He despises Obama for two main reasons. One Obama is considered African American by bigoted purity standards( the only pure race is all white any think else is not white) and Rush feels African Americans are inferior and anything they have or have accomplished is charity. See his ESPN talking points. Two, he feels Obama may have woken up some of his genuflectors. As he looks down on them from as he and his devotees’ put it, Mount Rushmore, he sees that the crowd may have lost some of the fringe, ie the ones who still think for themselves. He now fears that he will be left with only salty, ignorant beasts that mainstream society ignores. This is why he calls Obama the False Messiah. The worst thing that can happen to a false god is to be forgotten.
Ask why I still listen, Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Also find who sponsors this person and boycott.

Rush stop drinking your own Kool-Aid!

Are you now doing psychotropic drugs now that Doc won't give you any Oxy's. You must be if you think Obama is scared of your quickly loosing significance mouth. Take your useless mouth on vacation!!

Oh, wait how can you spit on the GOP anymore by showing what a divider your type can be. It's people like you that need to go so the GOP can become something again. YOU are the new Republican kiss of death. You say it and the polar opposite happens.

I believe the "Radio Host" should find himself without a program to 'host' in the country. It is this type of behavior that makes us a laughing stock on the world stage. I will not be reading another article (or listening) with the name Rush in it. *ignore*

Why do we give any importance to what this guy says. He should be ignored and will then fade into oblivion.

I'll put this way, if Obama fails, it will mean that the country will probably be in a desperate state similar to the Great Depression or possibly worse.

And I thought that it was the republican party that was accused of using fear and intimidation tactics! Wow, thats fresh, instead of terrorist attacks, now its "If we don't do as Obama says, we are going to die!" how is this different?

Rush said he hopes that Obama fail because Obama's policies are Socialist in nature. Throwing money at a problem does not solve the problem (Look at the public school systems as an example). This didn't work in the depression and will not work here. Politicians feel a need to do something during a crisis and nothing makes them feel better than throwing tax payer money at the problem.

You see, the country is filled with zombies who listen to these dumpster- mouthed schills (like Limbaugh, Hannity, and Man Coulter) and automatically process the filth as the truth rather than correctly filtering it out. So yes Obama, in a last ditch effort to encourage independent thought said what he said. In reality, I doubt Obama is losing any sleep over what the bloated gasbag has to say.

Limbaugh has enough money that he's not affected by our poor economic climate. It's no skin off his nose if the country gets worse–all he cares about is continuing to profit off the ignorance and hatred of America's extreme right-wing.

Thank goodness his type is a dying breed. Dittoheads are poor excuses for American citizens.

They have zero effect on anyone else.

Rush did not say he wanted Obama to fail. He said that the policies would fail and that tax cuts is a better solution to a quick recovery than the bailout of failing companies. Give companies a chance to grow jobs.

This shows just how much all of you saw the interview, he did say that, but not in the context that is shown here. You need to be well informed, before casting stones. Go find Hannity's interview and you can see for yourself. Now who"s showing the hatered here I ask??

Suggest Rush, all of the crew at Fox News, along with the 22 percent that thought former President "W" Bush was doing a good job, move to the Cayman islands where all their republican supporting corporations hide all their income to be sure it can't be taxed. America would miss all of you for about one second.

Limbaugh is a smart man who knows how to keep himself in business. Be smart yourself and don't take his headline comments seriously. Deal with him the way you would a little toddler engaging in negative behaviors just to illicit a response. Pat him on the head and feel sorry for him.

If Limbaugh were saying anything hopeful and therefore patriotic about our president then he'd be out of a job.

This vermin should be off the air. It's hard to believe any network would pay a slug like Rush to spew his hate-inspired filth across the airways. Too bad there apparently aren't any criminal charges that could be brought against this anti-American devil.

Thanks CNN for the great coverage of events in the country. Right now, the new government needs our help to shape things for the better. And definitely, Rush Limb is not part of the process. This guy has been a disgrace from day one and he still is. I vividly remembered during the campaign – how he wooed republicans to vote against Obama for Hilary. He has done everything to bring Obama down, but the Almighty God is watching. So the likes of Limb does not fit in our society.
