Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Rush is like Ann Coulter – an entertainer first and a political commentator second. His only goal is to get people to pay attention to him. CNN is basically providing him a free commercial by "reporting" what he has to say.

It's the "ditto-heads" who follow Rush who are actually scary. They've failed to realize what his game really is.

I don't believe that President Obama is afraid of anybody! Especially not of someone who spews hatred and tries to stir up controversy when there is none (like Mr. Limbaugh).

I feel sorry for him as he uses the vehicle of his radio show to create hard feelings among people when done really exist.

I pray that God sends some love and understanding to Mr. Limbaugh so that he can have a complete turn-around in his heart and not be
racist or a hate-monger any longer.

There is enough hate among the terrorists that we don't need it to fester in this country when the intent is not there to begin with!!

God said: "Just not let ye be judged." May this radio show start to
feel the love of God and do something worthwhile to promote peace in the world and not demoralizing hatred!

I honestly believe that God sent President Obama to show us the way to treat one another with dignity!! (Rush Limbaugh could certainly try to find some dignity, as he has never shown any!)

Why oh why, really please tell me why does CNN waste their valuable resources and talent or the American Public's precious short attention span reporting anything that Rush Limbaugh says or does? If we were playing Jeopardy and the answer was "Self-important, Dishonest Hypocrite" the question would certainly be "Who is Rush Limbaugh".

Although the articles admittedly seem to be about how utterly ridiculous and mentally lame he and his followers are, they still give a shred of credibility to a loathsome man and his hate-inspiring, unintelligent train of thought.

Let him and his dwindling Ditt-iots say what they need to on their own air-time or on Faux News. Unless he's making news by checking into rehab again, I think most of your viewers and readers don't really care what he's saying, doing or thinking.

What a fool! Obama is not afraid, he has more pressing issues to deal with than to even have a conversation with this moron. Rush you must have gone back to even harder drugs to think the President is afraid of him. He needs to get over himself and if he doesn't like living in America, there is a cesspools that can accommodate him.

As Forest Gump once said "Stupid is a stupid does." How dumb do people in this country have to be to even acknowledge this drug addict is still around. Any ignorant person can get on tv or radio this just proves it .
Can you say stay of the sauce. How drunk was he when he made those comments. FAILURE should have his picture next to it in the dictionary.

Rush does not want this president to fail. He SAID he does hope he fails on issues that would be harmful to this country. All of you know exactly what Rush said and exactly what he meant but choose to twist the truth as all liberals usually do. Listen to Rush! Listen to the liberal media, continue to support Obama and this country is headed for disaster . JUST LISTEN TO RUSH with an open mind and you will learn the truth and also what is best for this country.

We're so scared, NOT! The only ones that are scared are the ones who have always been scared, Repugs!

I hope Obama does great and I have very good feeling about him.

Please President Obama fight for us.

It's over, Rush. Been over for a long time for you. A few frightened people clutching their guns and Bibles out in the woods still listen to you, but most of your "listeners" are actually under the impression that they're listening to a parody of benighted caveman rightwingerdom.

Stick a fork in him, he's done.

Thank you CNN, I'm realizing Rush Limbaugh and cockroaches have a lot in common: they're both ugly, will never go away, and it's hard to imagine what purpose they serve.

Limbaugh has an advantage over Obama in that he is unconstrained by reality. His rant about hoping Obama "fails" ignores the fact that the government takeover began with his buddy Bush. One would think it says something if Bush and Obama agree on a policy, but apparently Limbaugh doesn't have enough brain cells to make that connection.

Obviously Rush is the pathetic face of the Republican party. When this talk show host gets into his daily bull pit to spew his rants, the right wing hangs on to his every single word. Does anyone really wonder why the Republica party lost and has been left in the dust for the past several years?

Rush Limbaugh the rotting voice of the rapidly shrinking Republican/conservative ideological minority. Go abuse of prescription pills as well as other drugs like you usually do and stop inventing nonsensical garbage and false claims. If you want the President to fail then you want the nation to fail as well, typical Republican always putting the political party before the nation and its people.

You cannot stand the new administration which has already reversed many negative bills & projects of the previous administration. You say that Barack Obama has not done much? He has almost 2 terms in the Senate and won by a landslide in the last elections, becoming the first minority candidate to be elected President. He has done a lot more than you and anyone you support, have ever supported or will ever support. You are just desperate for attention and purposely pessimistic to hold your listeners in fear and ignorance like you always have.

Perhaps this overweight drug addict should join most Americans on our journey away from the ugliness and divisiveness of the past 8 years. Our ship is leaving the dock and my money says he is proudly driving his oversize SUV to the train station. Nega-dittos idiot.

I hope Mr. Limbaugh does not represent the majority of American people. If what we need now is someone to unify us, what does Mr. Limbaugh think he is accompishing with his remarks that he hopes to see President Obama fail?
Wasn't it Mr. Limbaugh who implied that disagreeing with the former President Bush by staging protests against his policies in Iraq were 'Anti-American"? I can only imagine the tongue-lashing someone would have received if they had stated on the radio that they hoped President Bush would fail. Mr. Limbaugh is a person that thrives on devisiveness and contempt.
As for President Obama being afraid of him, let's be realistic. One man was just elected to the highest office in the land by a wide margin and has the trust and faith of not only the United States but a majority of the free world. The other is a big mouthed egomaniac who has already had to resign from one job because of his controversial comments.
Mr Limbaugh has a habit of talking before thinking. So as far as I'm concerned just give him time.....he'll self destruct again!
