Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Someone should tell that fat drug addict to shut up.

But, before that happens, CNN and other news agencies should quit giving the fat drug addict any news time.

I wonder how many people wanted Rush to fail when he was addicted to pain killers. I believe the only thing Rush is frightened of is losing another 15 minutes of fame.

Rush Limbaugh should hope that President Obama succeeds, especially if our new President is able to push a decent health plan, then Rush could get the drugs he abuses much more cheaply.

To the dittoheads out there, or whatever you so proudly call yourselves to emphasize your mindlessness, the problem with Limbaugh's "argument" is that Obama isn't trying to turn the country into a socialist country. The bailouts certainly weren't his idea, and were initiated before he was even elected, let alone took office. You can try and fudge it by saying, "I don't want the country to fail, I want Obama to fail in his aspirations to make us socialist," but those arent his aims. He looks to adjust the tax bracket slightly - actually so that MORE Americans will be giving LESS of their hard earned money to the government - and he wants to offer a national health insurance policy, but thats not socialism. So when you say you want him to fail, its kind of hard to rationalize your way out of saying you don't want the country to fail. A president's success is measured by the relative prosperity of the country during his tenure. If America gets back on track, starts creating jobs again, gets the economy rolling again, then Obama will have been a success. I'd rather see our country prosper again than have my personal ideals validated. I guess thats a difference between myself and Limbaugh.

Rush Rimblah has some serious baggage he needs to deal with. Perhaps he should dry out and try taking a sober look at reality. He appears to have the mental capacity of a dope.

I am going to admit that I occasionally listen to LImbaugh. He is very articulate, has a great voice, and has a pretty good sense of humor. With that said, the real reason I listen to him is that I like to hear him suffer.. It is clearly a real effort for him to hide his disgust that an African American is now running his country. His ultra conservative views are now those of an ever decreasing minority, and he has to know that he is on the wrong side of pretty much every issue these days. I will keep listening to you Rush – out of pity.....

I hate commenting on anything that Limbaugh says because he is getting exactly what he wants: attention. But why hasn't the FBI or CIA taken this ding-a-ling into custody for "threatening" our national security? If our president fails, we all fail; our collective well-being is jeopardized, and when our well-being is jeopardized, so is the well-being of millions of people around the world, or hasn't Rush been watching and listening the last eight years. Limbaugh's comments only smack of his lack of judgment and moral ineptitude.

Come on Rush, sounds to me like you are the one who is afraid. You want him to fail, which would only deepen the pain Americans are going through, at least the average, bottom 90% of the country who is not over compensated like you. You're nothing but a pill poping, big mouth spewing venom who could not care one bit about the future of our country unless it involves ultra conservatives ruling like kings. You should be afraid of a higher power and how you will be judged in the end. At least the President is working overtime to fix the mess and has shown more leadership in one week than you and your cronies have in 20 years.

  24. Someone'sBeenInTheHooch...

Ahhh...Nothin like a little rousing bloviation from "Rash" following his afternoon of overindulgence in mason jar home-brew and too much oxy.

He still doesn't get it. Obama's had to deal with people like Rash his whole life and all it does is strengthen him. You can't do anything to him that hasn't already been done.

About 10 years from now, Obama will have spent 8 years at the helm of this Country, will be working on his library, penning another book and be the most requested speaker in the world. Rush will be looking for pickup work as the newest spokesperson for Bob's Fatboy..ehr..I mean Bigboy.
