Limbaugh: Obama is 'frightened of me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/26/art.rush0126.gi.jpg caption=" Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded Monday to recent reported comments by President Obama."]
(CNN) - Radio host Rush Limbaugh said Monday that President Obama is “frightened of me.”

“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is [Senate Minority Leader] Mitch McConnell,” Limbaugh told listeners. “He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, [House Minority Leader] John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party.”

Limbaugh’s comments followed reports Obama warned GOP congressional leaders last week that they should stop listening to the conservative talker, who had said on air he wanted the new president to fail.

"Now this is the great unifier," he told listeners Monday. "This is the man who's going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bipartisanship and love."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters the administration's latest message to Limbaugh at Monday's press briefing: "Tell him I said, 'Hi,'" he joked.

Rush Limbaugh-A ledgend in his own mind-and the EIB-absurd misnomer for the worst radio talk show in the free world today!! He is the most unpatriotic citizen in the USA, including Blagojevich, and Rush should be tarred and feathered and flown out of the Nation today, if of course you could find a third world country that would take Limbaugh. People are tired of potty mouth-Rush and he and his EIB network should be forced off the airways by the FCC for communist, facist, and otherwise dictatorial-revolutionary comments. Get a life Rush and try to do something positive, just one time in your life by supporting the country and the administration that allows a worm like you to earn a living in our fair country. Goodbye to Rush and the EIB!!!

How long until Limbaugh joins Coulter in the "People We Stopped Caring About" list?

Rush Limbaugh has been the mouthpiece of an era of political and governmental failure. He has consistently provided a lot of heat without providing any constructive dialogue.

The idea that President Obama fears him is just a grandiose fallacy. Obama is telling the Republican leaders to forget about this guy lest they become irrelevant to the important work the country must do.

It's time to put aside childish things.

The silly and outlandish bloviating of Limbaugh, Hannity, and Coulter has run it's course. The country can ill-afford the counterproduction of these political entertainers.

These are serious times that require serious people. Limbaugh is a bad joke. No one is laughing anymore.

Actually Rush, I am afraid of you, and I think a lot of other people should be, too, if only because there are a lot of people that actually believe the junk that flows so readily out of your mouth. Not all of us buy into this kind of stuff. Reminds me of more of this; Nixon, Shackley, Clines, Bush (all of them, including Prescott-who helped monetarily fund Hitler, by the way-do some research, its true.) All of these goons worked as hard as they could to ruin Jimmy Carter, and then Clinton. (I am no Democrat, either, but it was still all junk.) Rush, you and all your "Scum and Bones" (oh wait, you never graduated from that school, or any other, because you are a single minded fool.) buddies have done your very best to ruin our country, all in the name of more money and power for yourselves. 99% of people make me proud of my country. Then, there are people like you. Thanks for more B.S., Rush.

wow, what a caricature of a self-aggrandizing blow-hard. his ACT doesn't even qualify as stale; too bad he's painted himself into a corner – at one time he was actually ENTERTAINing.

Any person that openly cheers for their President and their country to be a failure should geeet out. All us democrats may not have liked Bush, but we would have all rather he not have been failure.

People point to Rush's drug problems because he has spoken so loudly against drug users and dealers in the past before he ever got caught. If he had been a good person, most of us would let him be after a simple apology. No liberal went on the air and cheered for Bush's conservative policies to fail, though many conservatives did act like that was the case every time a policy failure was discussed. There is a huge difference in pointing to what has happened and wishing that future decisions fail just so one idealogy triumphs no matter who is hurt. Any intelligent conservative would distance themselves from everything Rush stands for because he stands for failure in so many ways.

Who the hell cares what this loser thinks or even less what he has to say? The whole lot of right wing jokers like him were totally repudiated by the citizens of our country in the last election and lost all relevancy anyway, as if the last eight years didn't prove enought of the absurdity of their so-called views! Stop giving them the coverage that they oh-so-don't-deserve like the rest of yesterday's garbage!

I have known for a long time that they could pile it that high and wide. But it still amazes me that they were able to teach it to speak.

Wasn't this the same clown that when President Bush was screwing everything up was preaching that we should support him because he is our President and it would be unpatriotic to not support the President?

I think Rush Limbaugh is a total idiot! The man shows his ignorance everytime he opens his mouth or shows his face. We had 8 dreadful years with Bush do we really need more years with Limbaugh????????

He must be out of his mind. The way I see it, it's the other way around. He is sooo scared that PRESIDENT Obama (still can't get over it!) will most definitely succeed. Because if so then where would that leave the republican party. And for someone to wish failure on their president and country regardless of who is in office....is IGNORANT beyond measure. Lets take this back to grade school "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."

  15. Get with the new boss

If Rush hates America so much, he can just move to Canada. There's a new president – time for the bumbling fools who got us into this mess to take a back seat and tow the line. Or, shut up and leave.

Rush is saying whatever it takes to get media attention on him. If he actually said something reasonable, do you think it would make news? The best way to get this person to shut up is to ignore him.

I would like to send a message to Rush Linbaugh. As you dittohead President was so fond of saying "Bring it on". Al Franken is right you are a big fat lier and the fact that you don't like it makes the Obama Presidecy even better.

Dood, one, he talked about a universal health care, which is socalism, since it requires to overthrow an entire industry first, just to give an example of how obama might be leaning towards a socalist nation.

Marianna, i don't thing Rush is rasist, i don't think i'm racist as well, i seriously don't care if Obama's black or not, it's his policies that are troubling, not the color of his skin

Angelo, i agree that obama didn't directly say he'd be taking over the banks, but forcing them to make loans (which got us here in the first place, not de-regulation like everyone else suggests) is taking control and thus what worries him...

also, being skeptic (because that is what Rush is, skeptic if anything, i don't think he's completly against Obama) of an opposition of your ideologies is not racism like many people are saying

As Obama himself said, we're remembered for what we build. Limbaugh's comments indicate that he is only interested in tearing down others instead of contributing to a much-needed discussion about our way forward.
