Blago wants to speak at impeachment trial

(CNN) - Embattled Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich wants to speak at his impeachment hearings before the state Senate on Thursday if lawmakers allow him to do so, senate President John Cullerton said.

    I would like to see Blago stop Mayor Bloomberg and the MTA from increasing fares!!

    He's obviously in "panic mode." I'm sure they'll let him talk, since it's his trial.

    Let him speak. What does he have to say? Wouldn't you want to defend yourself at your own trial? Innocent until proven guilty!!!

    He of course wants to come on the day they are doing closing statements. All he wants to do is speak but not answer any questions. I will of course tune in tomorrow to see if he just repeats the same stuff he has said to all the reporters. He needed to talk to the people of Il. I am one of those people.
