Palin won't be making CPAC appearance

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/02/10/art.palin1.gi.jpg caption="Palin will not be attending this year’s CPAC, confirm organizers."](CNN) - Sarah Palin will not be attending the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington later this month, her office confirmed to CNN Tuesday.

The Alaska governor had been expected to serve as the headline attraction at the three day event, which is also scheduled to include conservative icons like Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter. The presidential straw poll conducted at the annual Washington gathering is widely viewed as a reliable bellwether of conservative support. Several of the GOP’s past - and potentially future - presidential hopefuls are also slated to address the gathering, including Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.

Palin spokesman Bill McAllister did not give a reason for the governor's decision, but did agree with one organizer's explanation that it would be difficult for the governor to visit in the middle of the state’s legislative session.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate, who recently launched SarahPAC to assist conservative candidates and cultivate a national network of supporters, visited Washington late last month to attend the exclusive Alfalfa Club dinner and several private events.

I wonder how she handles the fact that Michael Steele is now the RNC Chair. After all her vitriolic hate-speech directed at now-Pres. Obama during the hate rallies that campaign events she spoke at turned into...must really get under her skin that a dignified, very intelligent African American man is now the Chair of her party. Must get under her skin, redneck racist bigot that she is. Perhaps we should call her and those like her "small-its"–cause there's nothin' big about 'em.

With Newt 'The Brains' Gingrich, and Rush 'The Fat Idiot' Limbaugh, and Ann 'The Devil' Coulter, and Mike 'Slick Willy' Huckabee, and Mitt 'The Plastic' Romney at the same conference, , , , then what is a Sarah 'The Airhead Diva' Palin suppose to do.

She probably wants to be standing at the finish line when the First Dude wins his 5th snowmobile race. That's waaaaay more important than governing.

Behold a republican conservative party being held by top republican conservatives...

A book writer, a talk radio host, and a commentator on fox news
these 3 are the make up of the conservative republican party. their words are golden.

Meanwhile the liberals have all their leaders in congress and government.

She's didn't mind leaving her state and her staff to the "wolves" while she played "Candidate" so why isn't she going to this?

    Maybe she's not welcome.

Gingrich, Coulter, Limbaugh and Palin all together! Wow, that would have been a real foot-stompin' yee-haw rebel yell ho-down for the yokels!! They will all sing the "He's closing down the concentration camp and stopping torture" blues. And darn that magic negro for messing up our Republican economic catastrophe!

They could call it the Pay-No-Attention-To-The-Last-Eight-Years-We're-Always-Right Poison-O-Rama!

Hey Mark in FL – so Sarah Palin was able to balance a budget of a couple of billion? Big deal! Please don't insult Californians by saying that Palin could run our state. It's much too close to a real executive job for her.

And yes, we're seriously in the red. But mostly because we have jobs that people want and places where people want to live, so our budget feels it when income and property tax revenue drops. Can't say as much for Alaska.

It's her turn for guard duty. Someone has to keep an eye on Russia. I believe we call this Fire Guard Duty.

NOBAMA are you just mad because President Obama's ideas might work and some of your fellow Americans might be able to get a job, keep their homes and feed their families?

The reality is that most people know that not one soul with hate in their hearts for the opposition will attend the CPA Conference. Only good, true Americans belong to the Republic [sic] Party. Sarah told us that! Maybe even turkeys and wolves know that.

Sarah may be an Airhead Diva, but she won't risk matching wits with Newt Gingrich, Ann Coulter, and Mitt Romney.

@ RAY....... please get a grip. Palin is an idiot, whose 5 minutes of fame were up several months ago.

She is a mean-spirited, divisive, hate-fear-monger. She spewed hate and lies in the last few months of the campaign.

For so-called Christian woman, Palin seemed to have forgotten one of the Ten Commandments, "DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS....." Insinuating that Obama was a "terrorist" and inciting her "crowds" anger and hate is just plain UNChristian!

    Palin for president? Hell NO!

What are you all afraid of? Why are you so threatened by her? You have nothing better to do than bash a woman who actually has a conscience and really cares about the country. You should be more worried about the big hole of pork that Obama is going to bury us in. I don't think even our great grandchildren will be able to dig out of that one.
