Palin: Media was on a search and destroy mission

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/02/23/art.palinint.gi.jpg caption="Palin says in a new documentary that the media set out to destroy her."](CNN) - The mainstream media made it a mission to destroy the vice presidential candidacy of Sarah Palin, the Alaska governor says in a new documentary released Monday.

In an interview taped last month for conservative John Zeigler's new film "Media Malpractice," Palin said it is "very frightening, I think, what the media was able to get away with, this go-around.”

"’We are going to seek and we are going to destroy this candidacy of Sarah Palin’s because of what it is that she represents,’" the former vice presidential candidate described as the attitude members of the press adopted.

The movie, available on DVD for the first time Monday, chronicles press coverage of both Democratic primary campaign and the general election, and concludes the media was clearly biased in favor of Barack Obama.

“This is for the sake of our democracy that there is fairness in this other branch of government, if you will, called the media,” Palin also says in the interview filmed in January. “It is foreign to me the way some in the mainstream media are thinking.”

“It is foreign to me the way some in the mainstream media are thinking.” I think that there are and were so many other issues in which she was clueless and was then the downfall of McCain's campaign. He played the gender game to try to trump the minority and it failed terribly.

Ever wonder why Sarah always ends up on the CNN ticker for comments to be posted? We never see obama adminstration issues on the ticker, why is that CNN?

Seen on a bumper sticker – "I'd rather be hunting with Sarah Palin than being a passenger with Ted Kennedy"

    Priceless!!!!!

The media and the people love you Sarah!

What Palin seems to fail to understand that her campaigning to divide America, her hate, anger, lies, ego trips, lack of integrity and intelligence are what did her in, not the media.
Typical republican. Blame everyone else and ignore where the truth lies.

Oh please. Look at yourself in the mirror, Governor, and take some responsiblity for your own actions. You need to be accountable for the words that come out of your mouth....or those that don't.

She forgets that she was on a Slam Obama mission. She is just upset that her brand of mud did not stick. Perhaps if she know how to conjugate a verb, or did not leave her modifiers dangling her other flaws would not have stuck out so much. Her mistakes were magnified by her mistakes which brought together the perfect storm of negative media for her.

This woman is crazy. How can a person who called a fellow American a terrorist now claims that the media is out to destroy her? If she and McCain had won the election, would she be making the same statement and whinning? She destroyed her self because she was not ready for prime time. Her choice of language and grammatical expressions are terrible. " I go find the information and come back and give it to ya" If I were her, I would go back to school to get more education and be better prepared for future challenges.

All these conservative gets so huffy puffy about the "liberal media", they have Fox News, get over it! If Palin were prepared to be Vice-President, she would have done fine in the media, but she wasn't and she failed, let's move on.

It is about time someone exposed the liberal media for their actions and who they really are. This is the same bunch who tried in 2004 to get Kerry elected by digging up dirt on President Bush's military service. This unethical journalism cost Dan Rather his job at CBS.

Anyone who believes that the liberal media in this country will not try to sway an election towards the Democ(rats) by any means is a complete and total MORON!

LIBERALS ARE LIARS, CHEATS AND UNWORTHY TO BE TRUSTED!

    DEFEND AMERICA; DEFEAT DEMOC(RATS)!

No, her loss has absolutely nothing to do with vacuous qualifications, sharply divisive rhetoric, and a propensity to wear hypocrisy on her sleeve. It was the gee-golly-gotcha media.

Where is her dignity? Palin should take a lesson from John McCain, who at least lost gracefully. I suppose the difference is that McCain's career is nearing its end, and she still sees herself as a future senator or talk show host (surely she can't be so delusional as to think that she will ever be elected to a national office at this point).

To the contrary. It was my perception that initially and until Palin repetitively demonstrated her ignorance regarding foreign policy, lack of sufficient experience to assume responsibility for a heart beat away from the presidency, and manipulative authoritarian methods of governing in Alaska, that the media actually ignored and avoided addressing her inexperience and engaged in an attempt to support a dangereous candidate by acting as if one should seriously consider that she may be capable of assuming such responsibilities. It was frightening, at first, that the media was reluctant and fearful of calling a spade a spade. It was like playing the "emporers new clothes." Initially, out of an attempt to provide respect for her, the media led the public down a path of believing that this candidate could, in fact, legitimately claim sufficient experience and responsibility to be the president of the U.S. it was frightening.

She's absolutely right! Of course, all of you commenting here are madly in love with the media outlets like the Communist News Network. What ever happened to OBJECTIVE JOURNALISM? The "News" should be neutral, and allow me to form my own opinion. Media outlets today push THEIR point of view & call you stupid if you disagree.

Sarah opened her mouth. Closed case. She did herself in. If she thinks she was going to get all easy questions (which many were, like 'what do you read?") she was TOO naive to hold any office. And if she thinks we have or should have a 'in your pocket' Press that only coddles you then she needs to read the US Constitution.

Oh, and to the jerk who wrote this DVD and book: Does your book cover or will you next one cover the trashing, falsehoods, and down right lies the "RIGHT" leaning Press (and radio) spew out 24/7, not just during the campaign? The problem with you is that you too are one sided; IF there is malpractice then show it everywhere and if you can't see it, well, then you too are just as biased..and slanted. Good Day.

If the media had let John McCain get away with picking Palin as VP and NOT called it into major question, then we'd have a problem.

Palin as VP pick was the absolute WORST choice in history.

Also, if Palin has aspirations to be president, she needs to shut up for a while. She is becoming an absolute joke. (even moreso than during the election)
