President Obama addresses a joint session of Congress tonight for the first time. CNN Senior Political Correspondent Candy Crowley and CNN's John Lisk give us an idea of what Americans can expect to hear.
Listen for Obama to ask Americans to get out and SHOP.
And then remember the irony of how Obama ripped Bush during the campaign when Bush told Americans to go shopping in response to 9/11 (essentially help keep the economy going – don't let the terrorists win).
Bush says SHOP = bad
Obama says SHOP = good
Can you say H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y little boys and girls?
More hope and change?
More snake oil.
I got a preview of the speech:
"Hi. Remember how I let my followers believe in immediate peace, prosperity, totally new government, hearts and flowers everywhere?
Um, nevermind. Thank you."
