Boehner hits Democrats after latest jobs report
WASHINGTON (CNN) - House Minority Leader John Boehner responded to the latest dismal jobs report Friday by accusing Democrats of pursuing policies “that are only proving to make matters worse.”
Boehner said in a statement that “Washington Democrats seem more determined than ever to continue pursuing tax hikes and pork-barrel spending increases” that won’t help middle-class families.
He called on the president to follow through on his campaign promise to fight wasteful spending by vetoing the omnibus spending bill and its thousands of earmarks. He also asked Obama to work with leaders the House and Senate to enact a spending freeze for the rest of the year.
“The American people want and deserve better solutions from both parties in Washington, and they expect us to work together to make the same tough budget choices they are being forced to make during this economic downturn,” Boehner said.

When Clinton left office there was a surplus. King George the W was spending money like crazy,,,War costs plenty. No regulations to protect anyone except his big business buddies. 8 years later we are left wth a disaster of epic proportions.
President Obama has been in office less than 90 days, is at least telling us what is going on and how he trying to get the economy going again. Why haven't the GOP tried to help??? It was their party who helped make this mess!!!

The repubs are really turning my stomach. These guys have not conscience. They sat quiety while Bush ran the country into the ground. Now they stand up to a person who is trying to do something about it.

Boner gets it wrong again! This bill was put together under the Bush administration before Obama ever took office and the majority of the earmarks belong to the Replicans including Mitch McConnells $75M pet project thats in there. Hypocrits through and through.

John Boehner – will you please stop running your mouth. It will take months before you see results just like it took years to get us here. You thank tax cuts is still the answer becasue most of the Republicans are rich.
I would really like to see the game playing stop. This concerns peopls lives. Instead of the Republicans denouncing everything, let them offer solutions, if they have any. Both sides need to grow up and do what is right for the people of this country. Sit down like adults and put forth some ideas, that may get us out of this mess. If that is asking too much then they need to be fired. It is past time that Country comes first.
Boehner give us an alternate plan or shut up, sit down, retire or otherwise make yourself invisible. Haven't you heard the old saying "criticize in private, praise in public"?

I live in southern Indiana, and you couldn't buy a job in the "Reagan" era. Guess we are back where things were in the 80's, tax cuts do nothing but make the rich richer and the poor poorer. When Reagan was elected, what did he do his 2 day in office? Oh yeah he broke the air traffic controllers union. I'LL never forget this woman who lost her job saying she would never vote republican again. It is time to wake up, we cannot go back to the Reagan era or the Clinton era.
