Coulter's book sales off

The conservative commentator, whose previous tomes have flown of the bookshelves, isn't having quite as good luck with her latest hardback, "Guilty: Liberal 'Victims' and Their Assault on America."
According to Portfolio Magazine, just over 100,000 copies of the book have sold during its two months on the market. While that number far surpasses most politically themed books, its sales to date rank far below those of other Coulter polemics.
Portfolio reports 2006's "Godless: The Church of Liberalism," sold 279,100 copies in hardcover, 2003's "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terror," sold 396,600 hardcover copies, and 2002's "Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right," sold 333,100 copies and an additional 108,300 in paperback.

The comparatively low book sales come even as Coulter has mounted a high-profile publicity tour in recent weeks, including widely watched and heated appearances on "The Today Show" and "The View."

What seems painfully obvious is that we're in a recession. Discretionary spending is down everywhere you look. But writers and artists in general get only so many warm receptions. Overexposure is a problem.
With every title published, Anne's potential for profit diminishes. So what? She's rich, blond, and slim. She's having a good time. And as Obama's cabinet continues to blunder its way through its honeymoon, no doubt she's getting ready for the next round. I admire her sense of humor.

Did she ever have any mojo? In a properly governed society she never would have been allowed any publicity.
I would buy a book telling me the care & feeding of the female boa constictor before I would ever waste even a nickel on a book written by Ann Coulter. Her and Rush and Hannity should get together and leave the country. If they did our air waves would be kinder and more intereting and the hate level in this country would go down and we all would be better off. P.S. Take Bill O'Reilly with you too.
Sorry to hear about sales. I better go buy a few more copies to give as presents to my liberal friends who need to be reading more and voting less. So glad we live in a free society where "dissenters" like Ann can still write books. If we followed current liberal thinking (used by some writers on this thread) people like Ann would be jailed for hate speech. So much for open-mindedness and adherence to democratic values, such as freedom of speech
The comedian Ann Coutler's brand of political porno / farce is just getting a little old. The only ones that even listen to her anymore are the sub-normals that actually thought she was for real. She is on her way to join Andrew Dice Clay, Sasha Cohen and Ru Paul in the "We laughed at THAT" Hall of Inconsequentiality.

At least Rev Wright doesn't go around on tv spreading his ideas. All we know of him is from a 20 second clip . And whatever Ayers did was way back in the 60s. They don't affect our lives in any way. Limbaugh and Coulter are spreading hate everyday of the week. And last I heard neither of them served their country in any capacity unlike Wright...a former marine.

Whenever I am in a department store (Target, Walmart) I turn her book around backwards on the shelf so I don't have to look at her face.

I would hope that the sales of her new book, which I own, are down only due to the economy. Anne Coulter is everything a woman should be.... Intelligent, Beautiful & Republican. Who could ask for anything more?
The woman gives me the heebie Jeebies. Looking at her or listening to her is like nails across the chalkboard.
For me she falls into that pile squirming with Joe the Plumber, Sarah Palin, and the runaway bride. People who crave attention and will say/do anything to get it.
Frankly I would rathe rhave my teeth scraped by my dentist then even look at that crew.
I have no idea who would buy any of her trash .. maybe some of the losers on Fox news .. This whole group is about as un american as you can get. Sad to here people bash a President that is trying to do so much for the country ...

I read this book - it's just not that good compared to some of her earlier ones (e.g., "Godless"). Anyone consider that as the explanation?
The REAL queston is why dont you people feel that you should take care of yourself. Why does NO one feel responsible for themselves.

Bill Cosby was on the talk shows yesterday. He takes a quite a beating from some black groups and liberal left wing. He supports Barack but what he also talks about is self responsibility.
He tells black males to go out and get jobs. Take care of your families. Get married. Grow up. Stop being angry. Be responsible. Stop asking for handouts and work. He thinks that everyone should work hard and take pride in what they do.
His new book is selling higher in the republican circles than in the democrat circles. Why is that? Maybe because EVERYONE wants a handout and everyone believes they are owed something.
Does this woman think she's "eye candy" or something? She should spend more time with a therapist and less with her stylist and make-up crew ... it's not working Ann!

Rather than getting upset, I truly sympathize with Ann Coulter.
I think Ann, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O' Reilly and Shawn Hannity were sexually molested when they kids. They also were most likely treated very badly by their parents that they have this volcano of hate running in their blood.
So please dont be mad at them. Just thank God that those things did not happen to you and pray that they will not happen to your children so your children do not end up like one of the above.

It don't take a rocket scientist to figure out that her books were selling well when the Republicans were running things and it was in vogue to say whatever you wanted to say, even if it didn't make any sense. She had her 15 minutes. Personally I think she's a carpet muncher and she needs to stop being a hypocrite. If Ann Coulter is a Republican, then I'm Jesus Christ and I've came back from the dead.
Ah sweet justice thy name is "poor sales". It could also have something to do with the fact that she keeps writing the same book with different titles.
Ann Coulter is one of the top ten reasons the GOP have lost all credibility and relevance.
