Coulter's book sales off

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/03/13/art.coulter2.cnn.jpg caption="Sales of Coulter's latest book appear to be far lower than her others."](CNN) - Is Ann Coulter losing her mojo when it comes to selling books?

The conservative commentator, whose previous tomes have flown of the bookshelves, isn't having quite as good luck with her latest hardback, "Guilty: Liberal 'Victims' and Their Assault on America."

According to Portfolio Magazine, just over 100,000 copies of the book have sold during its two months on the market. While that number far surpasses most politically themed books, its sales to date rank far below those of other Coulter polemics.

Portfolio reports 2006's "Godless: The Church of Liberalism," sold 279,100 copies in hardcover, 2003's "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terror," sold 396,600 hardcover copies, and 2002's "Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right," sold 333,100 copies and an additional 108,300 in paperback.

The comparatively low book sales come even as Coulter has mounted a high-profile publicity tour in recent weeks, including widely watched and heated appearances on "The Today Show" and "The View."

I hope her sales continue to go down. She's a nasty, close-minded bigot. The sad part is she has gotten rich all and hasn't contributed anything positive to society.

Dumas McGee, Rasmussen is at odds with every other polling outfit. Given that he's desperately writing editorials pushing GOP talking points, he's putting his credibility into question.

There will always be a market for writers who criticize politicans who misspend taxpayers' money. Today the local paper here in Boston is citing the Democrat governor for giving a supporter a ridiculous job with a six-figure raise and for Democratic legislators who are rigging the pension system to steal millions. As newspapers disappear we need someone to keep politicans honest, even someone as over the top as Coulter.

    @ Worried Mom:

Re: The Republicans having Ann, and the Democrats having Ayers and Rev. Wright.

I'll take them over Bush (the war criminal), Rush, Ann, Cheney, the KKK and oh, yeah bin Laden who also wants 'America to fail.'

There is a saying I will apply to her –

From a weed comes a seed and from that seed comes another weed. Lets be thankfull she/he has not (to our knowledge) born or helped to create offspring !!!!

In an intellectual word she/he is "yucky".

sea.gem, liberals are not tolerant of including people of Coulter's type. It's like saying we should be tolerant of Hitler. IMO, she's a blight on this country, not to mention a liar and very unchristian. It always amazes me that people are willing to defend this woman.

18th on the New York Times BestSeller's list sounds good to me. Especially when the New York Times itself sells so few papers that the New York Times BestSellers list may cease to exist when they go out of business this year.

How many times can you write the same book before people stop buying it?

I am so glad people realize what she really is. I would not buy a book from her on a bet. Who does she really think she is? She changes sides of her politics like I change my shoes.

The days of the nasty attack based GOP is over. lies, obviscation, ruling by fear, smear tactics and other divide and conquare stratigies founded by Lee Atwater and Karl Rove are over. America woke up! It took the bush administration to stick a fork in it.

I will be relieved to enter an election season where I don't have to hear mud – mud – mud. Just give us your position, the facts and your solution and we will figure out the rest.

Electing real people with real minds not Ann Couliter grabage

No one, liberal or conservative, should take this woman seriously. These people make their living on the divisiveness of both groups. I am dumbfounded that a right thinking person would spend money on a book publishing hatred; obviously playing to the ignorance and base feelings of others. Her views are unchristian and uncharitable. Everyone should take a queue from me, whenever I see her on TV; I just pick my remote and change the channel.

Have people finally come to their senses and learned that Ann Coulter is a big mouth looking for dollars only. She is what Rush often refers to, as a "feminazi". Poor Ann.

She is so irrelevant and boring. I think deep down she is a raging liberal who has found out a clever way to make money. Think one logical thought but say completely the opposite when you open your mouth! (That will grab someone's attention).

Wow, you know what’s crazy? Her new book is about how single mother ruined America. Does this mean she hates Sarah Palin daughter, now she is a single mom? But I got to say, she is great to look at as long as she does not open up her mouth. That’s what the ladies on the View told me.

I hope they post this one.

    Have a nice day

HA! I knew Coulter's book sales would plummet once her looks started going. Conservative men will have to find a new pinup to secretly fantasize about.

Gee. Did they do a story like this on CNN when Pelosi's book didn't even sell 1000 copies?
