Coulter's book sales off

The conservative commentator, whose previous tomes have flown of the bookshelves, isn't having quite as good luck with her latest hardback, "Guilty: Liberal 'Victims' and Their Assault on America."
According to Portfolio Magazine, just over 100,000 copies of the book have sold during its two months on the market. While that number far surpasses most politically themed books, its sales to date rank far below those of other Coulter polemics.
Portfolio reports 2006's "Godless: The Church of Liberalism," sold 279,100 copies in hardcover, 2003's "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terror," sold 396,600 hardcover copies, and 2002's "Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right," sold 333,100 copies and an additional 108,300 in paperback.

The comparatively low book sales come even as Coulter has mounted a high-profile publicity tour in recent weeks, including widely watched and heated appearances on "The Today Show" and "The View."

Poor Ann you might have to suffer like everybody else in these hard times. Please do not worry I have never or will ever buy anything you write.
For every book she sells, lets go out and do something positive-contribute to a food bank or reach out to an elderly neighbor. Can American pull together like we did after 9/11 or Katrina? There will always be negative people taking advantage of our fears but each person can make a difference today.

This may be slightly good news, but she still makes a good living appealing to right-wing hatred. That's only possible because there's so much of it to appeal to.

People are getting sick of her hate-filled spew. Are Republicans **gasp** finally realizing that being divisive, prejudiced, and evil is perhaps not the best way to win friends (not to mention elections) and influence people?

Maybe, just maybe, she's gone past her "Sell-By" date. The conservative Limbaugh-Coulter hate mongering is increasingly irrelevant to the questions and problems that the United States is facing. The Republican party doesn't seem to get the message either.
As a Republican I really think Ann Coulter is not a help nor a good thing for our party. I think she needs to go out there and get her brains bangged by some guy. After that she will be just fine. Lately I have become very displease with her.

Why don't a few of you liberals just get a copy at your local bookstore or borrow one from one of your conservative friends (if you have any). That way you don't have to help the economy or Coulter, but may just learn something. It's so easy to criticize something (movies, books, people, etc.) when you haven't actually experienced it.
I am one of those slanderous, traitorous, evil and just plain nasty liberals that she reviles relentlessly in her books. I am hoping the loss of sales represents the fact that while my conservative friends have many disagreements with liberals, most of them don't bother with the puerile nastiness and name calling that seems to be her stock in trade.
When conservatives have intelligent, humorous writers available to them, such as Bill Maher and P.J. O'Rourke, why do they settle for the Ann Coulters and Bill O'Reillys of the world?

Here's why books by Coultergeist and other hate-filled right wingers make the best-seller list. The right organizes buyback campaigns. Shills are sent into the bookstores in major cities. They're each given $50 and told to go buy the book, then bring it back to a central location. This makes it appear that the books are "flying" off the shelves. Nothing could be further from the truth.
But for those right wingers who take some faux solace in seeing good numbers for books by "conservatives" sorry – but the vote that counted was last November and you guys got beaten like left-handed, red-headed step children. Get ready for more of the same. When you hope America fails you lose.

Anne Coulter and Rush Limbaugh have been singing the same tune for the past 20 years. At some point people wake-up and realize that her and Limbaugh's policies got this country into this financial mess. So now people are simply tuning her out!
Book sales for this trash are low because her followers generally don't (or can't) read. They get plenty of this crap from Fox so why bother?

It's understandable to me that very few people would want to read this book. Coulter is one of my least liked persons. Next to Rush!
