Coulter's book sales off

The conservative commentator, whose previous tomes have flown of the bookshelves, isn't having quite as good luck with her latest hardback, "Guilty: Liberal 'Victims' and Their Assault on America."
According to Portfolio Magazine, just over 100,000 copies of the book have sold during its two months on the market. While that number far surpasses most politically themed books, its sales to date rank far below those of other Coulter polemics.
Portfolio reports 2006's "Godless: The Church of Liberalism," sold 279,100 copies in hardcover, 2003's "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terror," sold 396,600 hardcover copies, and 2002's "Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right," sold 333,100 copies and an additional 108,300 in paperback.

The comparatively low book sales come even as Coulter has mounted a high-profile publicity tour in recent weeks, including widely watched and heated appearances on "The Today Show" and "The View."

OMG. What a fake story! 50,000 books a month. That's over 1500 books a day. By this standard, Carville and Bagala have no mojo what so ever! CNN, find some real news to report rather than your kill the messenger because you can't combat the message. How's about a debate on the substance rather than personal mojo stories.

Hearing that her book sales are down gives me hope that the American people are wising up to the fact that they are being poisoned by people like her. Yes there are extremes on both sides, but I have yet to find her equal on the left. She plays the victim card as though all conservatives are victimized by the evil liberals, and then turns around and accuses the liberals of being victims. That is hypocrisy by anyone’s definition. Why would anyone look up to that?
The poor economy has everyone's attention. Coulter's narcissistic nature has moved off stage. Besides people can't afford to waste their money right now.
Wow, this filled up with hate filled post hate liberal posts almost as fast as the article about Bristol Palin naming her baby. Everything is down, book sales are a luxury under the Obama depression.
Funny how wishful thinking can twist the way news is reported. CNN would like Ann Coulter to fade, so you report her phenomenal book-selling success as bad news.
Just like all the rags that print what ever will sell about the stars Ann will return. Bottom feeding Journalism will always find a way to make money no matter who it hurts. It is sad to say that there are a lot of people who love to hate, on both sides.
It just goes to prove, you can't fool all of the people all of the time. Coulter is a plauge on the social policy dialogue. Her 15 minutes are up, and it is time she crawls back under a rock.
People are tired of the hate. It's time to love.
Maybe she should write a book focused on the real traitors to America – Chuck Norris who doesn't like democracy, wants to leave the union and rule Texas, and has advocated violence and talked of sleeper cells.

Sales are down? Not down enough as they still above zero. My feelings are the same for the far left loony authors also.
Actually I thought Coulter's other books sold more then they apparently did. May be there is home for America's intelligence!!
Ann Coulter, the American way of life hating neo-fascist, is in a friendly competition with her ideological soul mates over book sales, and she just will not be happy until her sales numbers beat the sales numbers for Mein Kampf.
Hopefully, after the last eight years of lies, magic mirrors and policies cloaked in secrecy, people are finally starting to wisen up. I think it's a great sign, although it cost us a lot to get here. The best gift you can give yourself is the art of critical thinking, no matter which side you lean towards.
Not surprising at all that Ann Coulter's book sales are down!! Coultergiest and Limbaugh-humbug do not represent the average american at all!! It's about time we had more people to represent us when it comes to political views!

Show me any liberal commentator whose books have sold as well or better than Coulter's and then we'll talk about who's "lost their mojo."
I am really shocked that she has lasted this long. She had her novel appeal but that got old real fast.

Yet that's still 99,999 more copies than Nancy Pelosi sold. I hear Pelosi's book was used to line the bottom of cages at kennels, and the dogs felt it was too bad to even poop on.

Considering that book sales are down for *everyone*, the only reason to single out Coulter is political.

I wonder if the Economy could have something to do with it. Better yet, I wonder if we all will get some stimulus money to buy her book? Hell, there is everything else in the stimulus, why not money for book sales?!
it's time for Limbaugh to lose his "mojo," too. it IS possible to have "fair and balanced" discussion and debate between parties on important issues, but not with the likes of Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, O'Reilly and their ilk - same goes for the "holier than thou" crowd, too.
