(CNN) - President Obama, in his weekly address to the nation, praised the agreement of the G-20 nations to act together as a turning point in this global economic slump.
"In the end, we recognize that no corner of the globe can wall itself off from the threats of the twenty-first century, or from the needs and concerns of fellow nations. The only way forward is through shared and persistent efforts to combat fear and want wherever they exist. That is the challenge of our time. And if we move forward with courage and resolve, I am confident that we will meet this challenge."
"The British press is calling Michelle Obama the new Jacqueline Kennedy. Do you think the first lady is outshining her husband?"
You have a better understanding of the problems facing England once you see just what is the priority of the British press.
So, how could Obama's trip have any impact on Europe when all they seem to be interested in is the fashion statement made by "finally proud to be an American."
FOCUS PEOPLE – FOCUS!!! There are bigger issues in the world than what the First Lady is wearing or whether or not she broke one of the Commandments by (gasp) placing her hand on the back of The Queen. Please, get a grip on what's really important.
Maybe the people that are so negative are truly republicans behind the scene. I am very proud of our President he did a fantastic job. If the people that are complaining about what he said and how he said had listen to everything he said...they just might would have learned something. The President is a born leader and I will see him in 2012. Keep doing a job. The republicans can not seen to get right, a honest President!

With due respect President Obama,
I appeal to you to NOT take away the conscious clause. This needs to be discussed. The Lord has been merciful to you in allowing you high position but he is not going to tolerate a lack of sacredness for life. Please reconsider your thoughts on this.
Sincerely, S Callahan
accomplished what??? more debt?????
ANGIE IN PA, why don't you reserve your opinion about who accomplished more until ater Obama has spent 4 years. I believe your opinion is slightly premature. I agreew ith one person's comments above in that Obama made this trip to appoligise for our countries behaviour. Seems he is stepping over others to get to his top, not ours, his.
One day closer to another election.
Proud of you, Mr. President !
We're seeing too much of this President. Enough already.
First of all, I do not want any president of the USA going around apologizing for our country.
We are a very good country and the president should not be talking down about us to anyone.
Every country has made mistakes, but I don't know any other country that has saved whole countries from dictatorships the way the United States of America has. Maybe he should make a stop in Normandy while he is in France.
The president is supposed to be our "cheer leader" and Barack Obama is not being a cheer leader for us.
Wasn't he ever taught that if you can't say anything nice don't say anything.
Second, I would like to know how much the tax payer is being charged for the approximately 500 people who accompanied him.
I would think, especially with this kind or economy, he would have tried to spend less of the taxpayers' money.
We do not want him in danger, but I think that his spending is out of hand.
The President and your First Lady, Thank You! You two have made this mark of forever!
Hell at least he's working I never saw George W.work unless he was moving brush in Crawford
