Johnston-Palin war of words continues

Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston doesn't appear to be letting up.
In an interview with CBS, Johnston sharply refuted the Palins' claim he was lying about being permitted to live with onetime fiancé Bristol Palin, and suggested the Palin family is now essentially treating him as an outcast.
"I'm just trying to get my side of the story out there and letting people know who I am," he said in the interview with CBS that aired Wednesday, adding that the biggest misconception about him is "probably that my family is white trash."
In the interview, his second national television sit-down in the last week, Johnston also said his relationship with Bristol Palin began to go deteriorate when Sarah Palin returned to Alaska after the presidential election in Alaska.
"I think when she got back is when it went downhill," he said. "They don't think of me the same way anymore."
Johnston also said he was "heartbroken" when the relationship ended but added "I got an amazing little boy out of it."
Johnston's sister Mercede, also taking part in the interview, was even harsher in her assessment of the Palins, saying they are downright "snobby."
"Look what they are doing," she said. "They are lying trying to save themselves. They are the ones that asked for it. They brought him to the campaign. They should have known what was coming."
In a statement issued earlier this week, Palin family spokesman Meghan Stapleton said Johnston and his family are on a "quest for fame, attention, and fortune."
The Johnstons say they have not been compensated for any of their media appearances.
At least this kid is sticking up for himself agains the almighty Palin.. What a joke the Palin Family is..
In my opinion Sarah Palin had too much to say about the couple's decision making! Bristol, now a mother, and her boyfriend, now a father, should have been making their own decisions. It's my impression that Bristol's mind has been poisoned against Levi and told he isn't good enough for her. Calling his family names is no way to help an already rocky relationship due to their ages. Parents are supposed to be supportive, not critical. I don't believe this couple will ever marry. Sarah, and her control, will see to that.
It should disturb people that this idiot, Palin, will scrap with a 17 year old boy. She was ALMOST our VP....and had she been, she'd probably be our actual President had McCain kicked the bucket, which was likely since he was so old.
That's scary... we dodged a bullet with this one.
Meanwhile, our President is saving our face in front of the international community quite successfully judging by the crowds that gather to hear him speak in Prague and are jealous that he's ours and not theirs. 🙂
Very different then picking a fight with a teenager hillbilly.
Levi, it's time for you to wright a book, you might as well get rich after being thrown out like trash, palin is a disgrace.

Gov. Palin is a very respectful individual and this mess with her daughter could happen of any of us!! We do not watch our kids 24/7. So BACK OF THE PALINS!!!! LOOK AT YOUR OWN LIFE!!!
Governor Palin is an individual who is out there preaching one thing for everyone else, and doing something else in her own life. In my book that makes her a hypocrite, and a hypocrite that was willing to throw her own daughter into the national spotlight for her own political gain.
I feel sorry for the innocent little child in the Alaska Soap opera. I feel sorry for him.
It's really sad that the Palins paraded these kids in front of the media. They should have done what the Bidens did and kept them away.
They have no one to blame but themselves for this mess.
Why don't you just keep your mouth shut instead of trying to shop your story. When someone asks, you just say, It's nobody elses business except Bristol's and mine.
Gov. Palin and her official spokesperson in a dueling sparring match with an 18-year-old - how mature and responsible of her! I'd believe Levi "in a heartbeat" before I'd believe a word - ANY word - spoken by Silly Sarah. And, with regard to the popular Republican sentiment that she is "feared" - not hardly! She's a national joke!
Well these two kids (Bristol & Levi) aren't getting back together. There's far too much water under the bridge at this point.

Levi has rights as a parent, whether he married Bristol or not. He was paraded all over the country as the father of the child, has done what he can to be responsible, offered to marry the mother, and was dumped. As long as the Palin's acknowledge his as the father, he has rights. Yes, his rights would be stronger if he had married Bristol, but they exist, marriage or not.
How soon we forget that a wacky leftest blog made the accusation that Trig was Bristol's son. Only after this, did the Palin family come out say that Bristol was currently pregnant.
This child has had enough of his 10 minutes worth of fame. Do your duty as a father. Support the child. Love the child. See the child, but only in a safe place.
I am happy to see Levi putting the The Palin Hickabily Clan in check. Sarah Palin is so full of herself. She surely can dish out crap,but can't take it. Why is she letting someone else defend her, be a woman and speak up for yourself, you Wasilla Bimbo. The apple doesnt fall to far from the tree either, right Bristol? Sarah you need psychiatric help even though theres no real help for sociopath.
Jim-in-PA is absolutely correct. Heck, there are college educated men with their doctorates older than Levi who don't even want to acknowledge their children.
The Palins used Levi while it was convenient; i.e. saying that he and Bristol were going to get married. I doubt that was ever in his mind, but heaven forbid that the Republicans should admit that abstinence-only education doesn't work and that Bristol was actually going to be a **gasp** unwed mother. Sarah Palin has found she just loves that national spotlight and is unwilling to give it up, no matter how ridiculous she looks.
We forget that Bristol and Levi were kids – not too much different from many other kids today. Sadly, their parents get involved (to a point they should be), and if your parent happens to be named Sarah Palin, nasty things can happen. Sarah likes control and we saw that in the election. The problem is that she lacks finesse and believes she knows all. So, lay off Levi and Bristol – they're teens. Sarah is fair game – she is asking for the attention and does not care how or who she has to use to get it. I'm a registered Republican but am offended by Palin.
This kid has a right to stick up for himself and his family. I applaud him for taking on this powerful and obviously ruthless family that is willing to exploit their own children.
I agree with Politically Incorrect! This is more than unfair! They used this young man and now he can't even see or take part in raising his son?? They're using the excuse that he's lying for fame and fortune! The McCain/Palin camp forced him into the spotlight in the first place! Take the Palin's to court and I hope Levi wins!!!
I cannot believe you believe this Levi guy.. Hes getting paid for the interviews and just looking for his small blip on the map of fame.
Nobody is perfect but why does this guy feel we need to hear his side of the story? (what story?) I for one could care less and so does most of American.. Levi Go away ..leave the Palins alone unless your visiting your son.. basically shut upp.
They used him plain and simple. It amazes me that people still like this woman. She is so obvious and not very bright. She is so obsessed with her career that she is willing to smear the father of her grandson when it proves politically convenient.

I'm not a Palin fan at all. However, I believe that Levi should have kept the situation a private family matter. Instead of giving TV interviews about the situation. It's beginning to look like a Jerry Springer episode..
