As public concern rises over the swine flu outbreak, is Obama's response adequate?

Grade his performance here, and tell us why in the comments.

Voting ended. You gave the president's handling of the swine flu crisis a B+.

A D- He is turning our country toward socalism. My great great grand children will be paying for his first 100 days. The press conference was not one, it was a scripted play, I'm sure he knew every question he would answer. Shame on our press corp. They are puppets to Obama, 13 questions, answer the question long enough so there is no time for rebutal.

The President gets an F here for sure. There is plenty of room for improvement, but I don't see that happening.

He has been a great leader so far!! We do not have to forget that at the time he took over the presidency, this country had a lot of problems. We might not need to expect a miracle right there then. I think more time needs to be accorded him before a true evaluation is hinted.

He knows how to spend money and he knows how to read a teleprompter. Can't really say this is an exceptional leader.

America, The Swine flu Virus is going to mutate making it even more lethal as it spreads. Even though the virus is here, that doesn't mean you can't do everything possible to contain it. This stupid government is letting anyone and everyone from the border come in here! Wake up! How many dead people is it going to take before this President does something other than talk. It's been 5 days! Look at JAPAN. They're taking reasonable measures to PROTECT their citizens!

Thanks to what Bush did in 2005, Obama didn't have to do anything.

    And he hasn't.

A- he's done everything he can without making this out to seem bigger than it is... people here are right that he's not a doctor, but surely the best we can expect of him as our most powerful politician is to remain calm and logical, which are good things to be in a crisis

A B- which drops to an F if Americans start dropping like flies from this flu and the question is asked, why didn't he and Napalitano sealed the borders sooner? Of course it was too late anyways.

I really have to laugh while I'm reading these posted comments. Most of you that say President Obama hasn’t been doing well, cannot spell! I am sure you would do a wonderful job running the country. If you want people to take you seriously, buy a dictionary!

Oh you mean the swine flu contingency that the GOP cut from the budget? I guess they thought it was more of the pork-barrel spending like "hurricane relief" or "suspension bridge restoration".
