First lady hangs out with Elmo
(CNN) – What's the highlight of Mrs. Obama's time in the White House? Hanging out with Elmo, of course.
The first lady stopped by Sesame Street Tuesday, chatting with the furry red monster and making a public service announcement along the way.
"If you want your child to have healthy habits, practice healthy habits too because you're your child's best role model," Michelle Obama advocated in her appearance for Sesame Workshop's Healthy Habits for Life Initiative.
The First Lady told employees at the United Nations in New York Tuesday that it's probably the best thing she's done so far since she and her husband moved into the executive mansion. Mrs. Obama appears to be emerging as a champion of healthy exercise and eating habits, taking up her platform by planting an organic kitchen garden on the White House grounds.
Former first ladies Barbara and Laura Bush also dropped by Sesame Street set during their husbands' terms in office, advocating children's literacy by reading kids' books to Big Bird.

It appears that you can't find anything real to critisize Mrs. Obama on, so you make up something. That is really sad.
For those of you who are making a fuss about prayer, day of prayer and other rituals – yes that's what they are- rituals. Grow up. What is amazing is that you are the same people who turn around after praying and go Rah Rah Rah in support of unnecessary wars and carnage in other countries.
If prayer makes you feel good, fine go ahead and pray, but don't force prayer on others. I bet you hadn't thought of this, but one can be a good human being without having said a single prayer. The statistics are there to prove that at least half the people who call themselves godly have no problem with war. On the other hand, an overwhelming majority of atheists and agnostics are peace-loving and anti-war. Go figure....
Man...I love this woman! I also love how they tried to vilify her in the primaries and now the World is in love with her!
I don't really have a problem with Michelle Obama, especially here.
But since she is talking about being a positive role model and promoting a healthy lifestyle...well...doesn't her husband smoke?

Maybe she could explain her husbands ideology in terms that even libs could understand. Get the cookie monster and tell him to line up all of his cookies. Then Mrs. Obama can take them all from him and say that this is what her husband is doing with the wealth of every hard working American!

HOOray for our first lady. She has class and two beautiful daughters and a loving husband, who is not afraid to show it. She should inspire all people in our country . She has done more than Laura, (whats her name) oh yea Bush did in 8 years. She should go around the country talking and inspiring all of us. Our country is very lucky to have her as first lady and her husband as president. May god look over her and her family.
the reason it seems like the president is doing alot of crazy spending is because of the transparencey that he promised..during the bush years alot of spending was not made public..and when it was made public it wasnt always true numbers..the people who hate obama and are constantly looking for something to critisize him for know this..the economy is sarting to recover..thing are slowley coming around the houseing market is starting to move..the nay sayers ae about to look real silly..i cant wait..we have a wonderful president and first ladie..god bless america...some americans are so resistant to any kind of change the mention of the word frightens them.a black man in the white house.a black first ladie..its more then the bigots can handle...

I don't see how some people can be so mean spirited about the First Lady making an appearance on Sesame St. To think that I breathe the same air with people who would be so cruel is unnerving at best!! You just had to drag all your hatefulness into Sesame St., wow, ya'll are really desperate for something to complain about?
