Todd Palin to fill in for wife at DC dinner

Sarah Palin, will fill in for the former Republican vice presidential candidate this weekend at a series of high profile events, a Palin spokesperson confirms to CNN.
Palin, also known as Alaska's "first dude," will take his wife's spot Saturday at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, the annual Washington event that draws a guest list of prominent journalists and Hollywood celebrities.
He will also appear at a Republican Governor's Association dinner Friday night, an event his wife was set to co-host as a thank you to donors who had contributed at least $25,000 to the organization.
The Alaska governor decided Thursday not to travel to Washington after declaring a state of emergency in Eagle, Alaska in the wake of record flooding.

To all the RIGHT REPUBS. It's not that we don't like the Palin Family it's just that we can't stand her. Her attacks since the convention were way out of line . It was more like taking points from Hannity or Rush then someone truly wanting to be VP . She talks about family values and in her own family you have 17 year old having a baby and the baby's father mother selling drugs. You talk about shady goverment and her owm state takes her to the woodshed. Now she needs a fund to pay for her lawyers. She would be great on FOX ... THE PALIN SHOW that way all the far right will have something more to watch then Beck and Hannity to get their daily BS from.
It would be OK for Michelle Obama to represent her husband; or Maria Shriver to attend for hers; probably OK for Caroline to go in Uncle Teddy's place. But this is completely wrong. What a bunch of liberal hypocrites.

If all you Democrats want her to go away, why does the liberal media keep bringing her into the limelight and all of you commenting on her and her actions?
It seems to me if you really wanted her to go away, the liberal media would quit doing stories about her and then all of you guys could go back and get your news from the celebrity news shows.
How embarrassing Todd's appearance will be for Alaska. He does not even have a high school diploma and cannot speak in complete sentences. He uses bad grammar and is very out of his league when he leaves the seclusion of Alaska.
He does represent the Republican Party base well. He is uneducated, ignorant, can't speak or write correct English, and just does as he is told since he is unable to think for himself. When things don't go his way, he joins a Successionist Party to remove Alaska as a State.
The whole Palin family is the perfect example of "stupid is as stupid does". Dumb as dirt.

with all the oil money being given out each year the state shouldn't need any federal money. funny thing is also if you live out of the state all you have to do is spend 2 weeks in Alaska each year and you get your share of the oil money .so poeple go around christmas and leave just after new year . what a ripe off .

If Sarah Palin needs to stay in Alaska and at least pretend to do "governor things", that's one thing. But sending her goofy husband to these events in her place is one of the most inappropriate things I've heard of in a long time. The elected Leutenant Governor (what's his or her name?) should be attending in her place....especially the Governor's Association dinner. Does cold Alaskan air do something to the judgement part of the brain?
FOX NEWS has three seats reserved for this dinner. One for Palin and two for Limbaugh. OUCH

Why should the other 49 States have anything to do with a guy who wants to succeed from the United States? Alaska by the way receives
$1.84 back for every dollar they pay in Federal taxes.
The lower 49 ought to strip that amount back to $1 and ask for repayment of the rest.
Red States receive on average $1.32 for every dollar they pay in Federal taxes.
Blue states receive .92 on average for every dollar they pay in.
Looks like the Blue states are paying Welfare to support the Reds.

While I don't support Gov. Palin's politics I do agree that her place is in her state and not at some DC dinner. I think they could have picked a better representative than Todd Palin, but this time I giving her some slack.

This is an annual White House correspondent's dinner. The MEDIA moguls are invited to attend and allowed to bring along a guest(s). The FOX NEWS (Murdoch) has a table. They could have brought along RUSH (the mouth) it Murdoch wanted but chose to invite that PEA BRAIN from ALASKA. Why FIRST DUDE is sitting in for her I cannot imagine other than to keep the PALIN name in view. What a lot of BOVINE SCATTAR.
