PEOPLE: Bristol Palin graduates high school

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption=" Bristol Palin has graduated from high school."]Looking like a lot of her classmates – giddy and irreverent, wearing a silly necklace of Blow-Pop lollipops strung together with curly gift ribbon – Bristol Palin stepped toward the stage in Wasilla Sports Complex Thursday night to receive her high school diploma, more a worried mom than a jubilant teen.

"Where's my baby?" Bristol mouthed, searching the two front rows where her family sat until she finally spotted son Tripp near the backstage door, where Bristol's Aunt Heather was feeding the infant a bottle. With a wave to the little one she alternately calls "Handsome" and "My Guy," Bristol crossed the stage – and crossed "graduate high school" off her to-do list.

"I knew it would be hard work, but I knew I was going to do it," Bristol, 19, tells PEOPLE.

With the high school drop out rate what it is, everyone should be happy for her and all the other kids that "finally" made it through. Congratulations to all of the graduates and good luck in the future. Now get out there and do something with your life.

CNN.. really!!! you are just trying to open up more doors of hate and discontent. You really should be ashamed of yourselves. CNN is so biased. No follow ups on anything democratic.

Congrats to you Brittany for graduating. Please excuse all the other hate filled comments.
Let's see if CNN even let's this go through , so many others have not!!!

In honor of this special day, I flicked a booger at a liberal. It landed right on his face, too. He was infuriated, but like most liberals, he was too much of a coward to do anything about it.

    Another triumph for liberty!

Bristol I applaud your decsion to not make another mistake and have an abortion. True it would have been easier but doing the right thing is not always easy. I was in the same situation at 19 and married my girlfriend. And even though we didn’t get a chance to go to college, 17 years latter we a very happy and have wonderful child and marriage. You can still go to school if you desire. And not that it matters for all of you naysayers we are in the top 90% of all earners!

@ Biased, who said "is news because people like many of you can't stand Palin and show it constantly rather than just ignoring articles like this. "

Almost. It's still not news. Nothing could make this "news." It's a convenient ad revenue booster though because none of us can resist the fun of it all. I mean, let's face it...reading a commentary section under a Palin ticker article is a great diversion from work and a source of unending giggles.

Congratulations to Ms. Palin on her graduation for the sake of mention.

People need to remember that during the campaign, she didn't encourage and wallow 'comme une truie' in the hatred of the bigoted 'Christian' Right; her mother did.

Wow- ho terrified the liberals are of Palin. Over 100days into the new administration and 6-months after the elections and they're still focusing on Palin and her family. For an "incompetent, unqualified" person, she sure has them running scared.

Hey Dutch/Bad Newz VA...why is it that you have to be among the first to comment on every story? Do you have anything good to say about anyone? I can't imagine how miserable your life must be to have absolutely nothing good to say about anyone. I really feel bad for you.

Liberals of the world, people are finally getting feed up with your mean spirited comments. You have ruined our country with your liberal beliefs and jammed your way of thinking down our thoats. The truth is you put to much belief in what you hear on CNN, if it's not dirt than you don't want to hear it. Look around you not everyone thinks like you.
One of these days your going to be judged I hope you receive more kindness than you give out.

@ New Hampshire, who said "Let's discuss Pelosi"

Right, because the story isn't that crimes against humanity were committed in our names, it's whether some trumped-up botox experiment (who even angers some of us in her own party with her antics) knew about it. Get real. You can stand on the sidelines waving semaphore flags in an attempt to distract from it, but the history books WILL someday say that the Bushtard and Cheneybot were the basest of criminals.

Did she really earn and study for the degree or was it just given to her since she is the daughter of the Gov.

What's funnier? Charging a news media outlet with being "liberal" because facts are apprently liberal, or reading said liberal news outlet everyday and vocalizing your protest. All while still patronizing CNN.

There isn't a word to descibe the kind of brutal irony conservatives on here readily practice.

As far as Bristol, I wonder what 14 colleges she'll go to?
