Huckabee writes poem attacking Pelosi

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Huckabee is going after Pelosi over the CIA controversy."]WASHINGTON (CNN) - Mike Huckabee has apparently found his muse: Nancy Pelosi.

Huckabee penned a poem about the House speaker, who has come under fire from the GOP for accusing the CIA of lying to her in intelligence briefings about the agency’s use of harsh interrogation techniques.

The seven-stanza poem, found on the former presidential candidate’s Web site, is called “Fancy Nancy.”

Huckabee calls Pelosi a “ruthless politician” and tweaks the San Franscisco Democrat for her use of a military plane for travel back to her district.

But the heart of the poem is about Pelosi's CIA he-said-she-said:

She sat in briefings and knew about enhanced interrogation; But claims she wasn't there, and can't give an explanation.

She disparages the CIA and says they are a bunch of liars; Even the press aren't buying it and they're stoking their fires.

    Forget Pelosi.....

Why aren't we questioning Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Rove, and the CIA about their torture program and their LIES about it?

Okay, I'm sorry, but this Pelosi saga is NOT boding well for the home team. 'Fess up already if you're lying Pelosi, and stop the knuckle-dragging routine. Good grief!!

When are you right-wingers going to jail for actually COMMITTING the torture? Huckabee is only a poet in his own sick mind. Love to waterboard the roach.

So when will he actually write one about the people who actually authorized it. When will the GOP criticize their own.

That is the exact type of grade school level poetic structure you would expect from a typical GOP member... Although I suppose it's slightly advanced since he didn't invoke "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue" as i'm sure many of his fellow party members inevitably will.

This is all the GOP has left? Immature to the extreme . . .

Once again proving his resemblance to Gomer Pyle is not just physical. My 6 yr old can do better. And also thanks for admitting Bush/Chenet are criminals. Anybody else notice every Republican now basically admits this?

I have to admit that poem was real cute. But, I have a questions and comments. as usual 🙂
Why are the repubs concentrating on Pelosi? Is torture okay with the repubs? Allow me to inform you. If Pelosi lied, she goes down. No cover up. No defending her. She gets thrown to the wolves. I, as a citizen of The United States of America, don't care who was involved, as long as they are brought to justice!
What do you hope to gain with Pelosi's guilt? Do you think that the Democrats are going to stop this pursuit of justice? Do you think that people will simply forget about this issue and we can quietly sweep this under the rug to never be heard from again?
    Think again

Huchabee is dangerous and the Repukes will probably have him on the ticket in 2012. If he or any Repuke wins then I'm leaving the country.

    Huckabee's prose
    Gives offense the nose
    Likewise Nancy Pelosi
    Ain't anything poesy.

Merriam -Webster: Poesy = poetic inspiration

Is that really all he can do. This, Mike Huckabee, is embarassing, not only to you but to the entire debate. And anyway the idea that the CIA never lies to the congress is laughable

I am not a fan of the House Speaker but the GOP comments are a lot like calling the kettle black! They have no room for the holier than thou act ESPECIALLY Newt Gingrich!
The comments from the GOP are to deflect the actions of the Bush administration, especially Dick Cheney. I say go after them all!

Pelosi is a joke...she NEVER gives a straight answer in an interview. It's comical.

She did not answer the retort from the CIA...she said "she was disappointed in the Bush administration." THAT IS NOT AN ANSWER.

If you are keeping score, the GOP has loads of dead-weight, including their last president and vice president, however Pelosi is one big fat joke on our side....we (Dems) need to toss this woman. The GOP is right on this issue: she is a liar.

It has been apparent for quite some time that Nancy Pelosi is baggage that congress can't really afford to carrry. Now that she has blatently accused our CIA of lying to her, she really needs to be held accountable for her actions. Ms Pelosi has gone beyond the maximum exposure our country can afford and needs to be muzzled.

The party that says no to the stimulus package and yes to torture is wrong. They can't change the subject and make Nancy Pelosi the target. They're the ones who tortured, not the Dems.

Take your meds and get over yourselves GOPers, you're history.

and this guy tried to become our President... (yes I know I started a sentence without a Capital letter... it did not deserve one).. I wish the GOP would use its energy in coming up with constructive ideas to get us out of this mess.....

Big Whoop! Bush lies to America when he invaded Iraq, he didn't tell the truth either, the GOP has short term memories but not us Americans, we rememeber the lies Bush/cheney and the GOP told to us.
