Palin: Obama as 'predictable' as snow in Alaska

Sarah Palin criticized President Obama for closing a General Motors car dealership in her home state.

Sarah Palin criticized President Obama for closing a General Motors car dealership in her home state.

(CNN) – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blamed President Obama on Wednesday for closing a General Motors dealership in her home state and called his transition to the White House "as predictable as Alaska's winter snow."

Saying that the federal government "should not be in the auto business," Palin blamed Obama for the closure of a car dealership in Soldotna, a city in southern Alaska.

"The transition from Candidate Obama to President Obama has been as predictable as Alaska's winter snow," Palin said in a statement issued through her political action committee, SarahPac. "'Change' in this administration has meant rapid movement toward massive government growth, huge tax burdens on future generations, and an unprecedented reliance upon foreign countries."

Palin then switched gears to praise Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele as a "man who understands what Alaskans believe."

"We have a friend in RNC Chairman Michael Steele and his bold and courageous speech defines his leadership goals that will guide us all through this most difficult time for our nation," Palin said.

Blah, blah, blah. How many republican buzz words can I fit into one speech without saying anything. Can we stick with the issues? GM and Chrysler's failure is not the president's fault no matter how you spin it.

Wait a minute, without the bailout, Chrysler and GM would have gone bankrupt under even worse circumstances for them. So how could the government have made this situation worse than it was going to be anyway. The idea that Obama is to blame for the car dealer closings is makes no logical sense. There would have been even more closures without government intervention, right?

Let me get this straight.... Obama, who has taken over the economy and accelerated its death spiral, is NOT to blame????? Oh, that's right....it is ALWAYS George Bush's fault.

Obama is responsible for GM being near bankrupcy? I don't think so.

Same old same old from the right.

They caused MASSIVE damage to this country and just sit back an point fingers at the ones trying to clean up their mess. The last thing they do is actually lend a hand and try and help!

Its just pathetic, the more they open their out of touch mouths the more the voting, tax paying rest of us run in the opposite direction.

Yes, Sarah....Obama IS predictable. He weighs all sides of an issue, tells us what he thinks should be done and why, and then he does it! Imagine that!

Of course Palin's predictability is another story entirely. She ignores pesky little things like facts, reason, truthfulness and intelligence, and just says whatever she wants – like that Obama shut down the car dealership in her neighborhood – in an effort to frighten people into supporting her nutty ideas.

@ Alfred E. Neuman, who said "The GOP has no plan but you can't deny that the Obama plan is not working"

Actually, we can deny it since the most recent batches of statistics over the past couple of weeks have shown that the rise in unemployment is slowing and that the market is showing signs of moving towards stabilization. The truth is indeed out there and it is based on FACTS and EVIDENCE, not RHETORIC from a trumped-up K-Mart quality underwear model.

Palin and Cheney should try out for Monday night Football. I never have seen two individuals more accomplished at Monday morning quaterbacking. The way they are able to lob criticisms from the sidelines is something to see.

Now, if they had something more to offer than criticism or more helpings of failed policy, that would be a breath of fresh air. Right now, they just stink.

    What's wrong libtards?

Hate to see a beautiful, Republican woman tell it like it is? You hate the fact that Palin is smarter and better looking than the liberal slob your currently in love with.

I had a dream that Moron Palin became a blind, deaf-mute.

    Only if dreams come true.

    Some of them do.

I agree with Sarah! obama is so busy ringing up our debt. I'm so glad that we have some in-experience moron in office. Who has been very predictable so far......Hopefully the next 4 years will go fast. So we can actually get someone in there, that will stop sweeping important matters under the rug. And get this country back on track..

Say what you want about Palin, but she's speaking the truth here.

Want to see where Obama's plans will take America in the future? I give you Michigan, Illinois, New Jersey, New York and our recent favorite, Cal-ee-foh-nia.

All Democrat run for years and years.
And all on the verge of collapse.
    Coincidence?
    Think again.

These states are a glimpse of what America will look like in eight years under liberal policies. American cannot end up like Illinois.

It is a sad day when people have to attack Sarah and the same ones will scream and holler to support Reid, Pelosi, Waxman, and the dear leader that are the ones tearing this country down.
Go Sarah, you are better than all of them!!!!!!!!!!

I get such a kick out of folks who say "can't she just go away" and "stop reporting on her". Then within a very few minutes there are 250 comments.
I enjoy the Palin stories. She is so entertaining. I can't wait for the next silly Sarah comment. Then all the right wingers jump and say the Dems are so afraid of Palin. Each time it is the same and these blogs are fun to read.
Keep up the good work CNN. I look forward to my Sarah chuckles.

Perhaps if GM had built cars that used less gas, people would buy them. But buying less gas would make Alaska a lot less irrevelant wouldn't it Grandma Palin?

I advised my liberal friends and even the moderates to hold of attacking Sarah Palin until she said something stupid again. wow, the wait was not long at all. Blaming President Obama for GM's bad business over the last 20 years leading to the closing of a single dealership in Alaska is beyond stupid. But at least Sarah Palin has once again shown off her amazing abilities to recite republican talking points without actual critical thinking. If the Republicans had their way, GM would be closing more than 1 dealership in Alaska and people need to keep that in mind.
