Shut it, reactionaries. You still have a majority on the court. Suddenly you're worried that this nominee won't be properly "objective,' when that has never been a concern of yours when Republican presidents selected justices (Thomas, Scalia, Alito anyone?) All of a sudden ideology is a terrible thing that must be avoided at all costs. Apparently because Rush says so, and who is more ideological (and moronical) than him? But please keep taking your marching orders from that drug-abusing, viagra-gulping, relationship-challenged gasbag, and believing fantasies like Sotomajor is a "racist." It'll keep you out of power long enough for Obama and Co. to get the country back on track. Then you can Palinize or Bushize us into bankruptcy and irrelevancy again, and blame it all on the liberals, without the slightest glance in the mirror at the real guilty party, as seems to be your pattern.

She made a racist statement. but now the White House is telling us "she chose her words poorly" and we're taking the statement out of context.

Is that kind of like when Obama bowed to the Saudi king, but were told by the White House that we were seeing things?

Wake up America or better yet, wake up CNN and do your job instead of being another mouth piece for this horrible Administration.

David, white man, in suburbs, you do realize President Obama and Judge Sotomayor can't dismantle the constitution, don't you?

The GOPers are gonna be all over anything our President does, and this I am prepared for. Debbie and David (white people in the suburbs OMG), I know you are the same person. Just relax, your conservative agenda will be tossed out like yesterdays tuna. Get with the future, white people in the suburbs are no longer the most important OMG!!! You gotta look at the whole picture outside of your white washed hood.

Just chill people, the roof isn't going to fall on your head because a judge, that by the way has very valid opinions, is in the supreme court. We are all entitled to our opinions, that doesn't mean our job will be affected.

    @David, white man, in suburbs May 30th, 2009 11:53 am ET –

Sotomayor is just like Obama, they became "Constitutional scholars" not because they love it, but because they want to dismantle it.
Your moniker should be 'typical white man' Dave. I'll bet you were just thrilled to peeing your pants over that illiterate joker who was just thrown out of office. America can finally, again, join our more cultured allies instead of looking like a joke country. Can you seriously tell me that conservative judges don't legislate their feelings? That's why they were picked, even that delusional Clarence Thomas, who would be scrubbing floor but for affirmative action. Why do I say that? Because without affirmative action, Justice Thomas, President Obama and countless other minorities and women would never had been given a chance to excel. Join the rest of the country in our forward progress. We need a balance on the court.

I don't know too much about her, but one has to assume if Obama nominated her she must be shady.

    No, Obama.

As you supported a filibuster of Alito, what makes you think she will be different?

    Oh, that's right; she's empathetic.

Obama and the media are going to play up the "poor immigrants daughter in the Bronx projects, living the life of a poor, underprivileged child" but that is not the truth.Check the facts, moved from the Bronx at an early age, attended private schools, had grants to attend the best of schools, lived in above average areas most all her life, got connected with the dreaded "rich white man". Her life is nothing like the propaganda that the media is feeding the public.
Find out for your self, the only thing that has been told so far is that she has the same distaste for "white America" that Obama and most of his administration has.

David, I have one word for you: douchebag. You see what you want to see and want her to be racist. This way your own racist thoughts don't tear on your conscience and you're able to feel good about yourself because for the first time, being a white male, you can say that you're 'discriminated' against. You, Rush and all the Fox and friends can just shove your ignorant, projectionist views up your rectal orifices.

Republican/"Conservative" whining is becoming so common that it has lost its effect. Like the dead skunk in the middle of the road, you can't avoid it but don't have to pay attention to it. It has become so overwhelming that it has lost its effect. No matter what Obama or the Democrats do or suggest, whining Republicans will point out what "might" go wrong if the plan doesn't work. Too bad they weren't so visionary when Republicans were in charge of Congress and the White House.

As long as there have been "white men" dominating the court, nobody had a word to say. Like they haven't been ruling on decisions, based on their feelings and political leanings? The REAL racists are those of you who have the gall to object to this lady's appointment, primarily because she is hispanic and a woman. Oh yeah, and she speaks her mind! Of course, the MAIN reason "you people" object, is because President Obama chose her! It's really becoming sickening! Why don't all of you self-righteous, so-called religious conservative, right wing clowns, just follow the advice you gave everyone for years...."It's our country, love it or leave it!" You're no longer the majority voice, get over it!

It is good to see the GOP'ers continuing to demonize the nominee. It shows just how out of touch the right wing nuts really are.

With all of thier ranting and fear mongering they are doing a great job of putting the GOP on trash heap of history by alienating the fastest growing segment of the US population.

Please keep up with stuck on stupid rhetoric repubs.
