DCCC targets six Republicans over stimulus vote

WASHINGTON (CNN) – The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is taking aim at six House Republicans for their votes earlier this year against President Obama's $787 billion stimulus package.
The committee is launching radio ads Monday against Rep. Brian Bilbray of California's 50th congressional district; Rep. Charlie Dent, Pennsylvania's 15th congressional district; Rep. Peter King, New York's 3rd congressional district; Rep. Thad McCotter, Michigan's 11th congressional district; Rep. Tom Rooney, Florida's 16th congressional district, and Alaska's Rep. Don Young. The ads will run for a week, according to the DCCC.
E-mails and automated calls about the six Republicans' stimulus votes are also part of the DCCC latest ad campaign.

I'm calling from the DCCC to tell you how disappointed I am in Congressman Thad McCotter.He keeps voting "no" on everything. Congressman McCotter even voted against the economic recovery plan, which is at work now to create or save over 109,000 Michigan jobs.
He voted "no" on transportation projects that mean good jobs right here – like widening Canton Center road.
He even voted against an $800 tax credit for Michigan couples.
I hope you'll join me in calling Congressman McCotter to tell him to stop voting "no," to stop standing in the way of getting the economy moving again.

Believe it or not, there might be somone out there that dares to disagree with The One.
Imagine that, they voted against the stimulus plan. For shame they don't wanna spend like drunken sailors.
The GOP should put their money where their big mouth is. Sure, they'll vote against the stimulus, and grandstand publicly how they oppose it, but at the end of the day not ONE of them will reject the money to their districts. Even the holier-than-thou GOP governors were grandstanding about rejecting some hundred million dollars, while behind the scenes having no objections against the BILLIONS of dollars they took anyway. The GOP says they're fiscally conservative but only because they grandstand about rejecting less than 5% of the money. When they put their money where their big mouth is, maybe I'll consider calling them 'conservative' and actually voting for them. Until then, they're just as liberal as the democrats!

Where, oh, where were these 'fiscally conservative' republicans for the past eight years? Oh, right, they were spending like crazy, approving all of Bush's LIBERAL spending, including billions of dollars for the first AIG bailout in 2005, no questions asked. They also voted along with everyone else for these socialist, bankrupting bailouts last October, for the corrupt banks and later for the auto industry. They did NOT protest then! I have no reason to find their current protests credible either! When they put their money where their mouth is (i.e. actually reject the stimulus money, instead of just talking about it then taking the money anyway) then I may believe them. Rejecting less than 5% of the stimulus money is NOT fiscally conservative!

Do the Democrats actually want these Congressional representatives to win? Most people were against that stimulus bill in the first place. If I were a republican targeted in one of those adds, I would run a counter add saying that you did vote against it and proud to do so.
I'd vote for anyone who had brains enough not tovote for the stimulous package. All it has done is put a huge load of debt on the next 2 to 3 generations.
By the time the elections happen, the majority of the public will realize what a fraud the stimulus plan was and these repubs should have no problem being reelected. Oh wait, you need an honest, unbiased press to make that known, I guess these guys will lose.
