Sessions says Sotomayor meeting 'fun'
(CNN) - In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer Tuesday, Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions - the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee - said he enjoyed meeting Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor.
"She was engaging and talkative and we had a good conversation. It was fun," he said.

The Republicans are so scared of offending the Hispanic Population that they're going to give Sotomayor a free pass. No matter what people are saying, this confirmation hearing will be completely about race because the Republicans are walking on eggshells. I wish they would grill her on her politics and judicial decisions but then I'm not running for office.

Sounds pretty mealy-mouthed to me. He's waiting to see which way the wind blows on this before he'll "have the courage to make the hard decision" (the one that increases his chances of re-election.)
I doubt the good Senator would have called a meeting with a male nominee "fun", maybe informative or enlightening but never fun.
