Wow. I guess its just not me who thinks this way. Thank God thinking people are starting to speak out publicly about the obamonation the coolaid drinkers elected. I think the groundswell has begun and the guy in the oval office is will have hell to pay. Great job Mr. Voight!

Why are right-wingers so paranoid? Are they driven by fear or hate. There is nothing wrong or weak with being part of the world instead of controlling it. Talk about acting like Rome. We are people sharing a planet with a lot of other people, not God's gift to humanity with the divine right to tell everyone how they should live.

Remember greed is the root of all evil.

It must be nice to live off the largesse of Hollywood royalties and the money your managers and lawyers can scrounge up for you, while the rest of us have to work for a living. I suggest that Jon find a group of folks who don't humor him because of his status, and will tell him he needs to take the blinders off. He reminds me of an old version of one of those kids on 'Entourage'. Completely out of touch. I hope he runs for office, it would clinch the next election for the Dems.

Please Mr. Voight – please enlighten us with at least one of the "disastrous decisions he's made." I guess the career isn't going so well. A guys gotta make himself relevant somehow

ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Why must people continue to insist that America is blameless in this world. We have committed some truly horrid sins in our time. No country has clean hands. We all have dark spots in our past. The ability of humanity as a whole to realize our similarities rather than focusing on our differences, will be the path to peace in this world.

This confuses me. I had no real impression of Mr. Voight's position on politics but I thought he was informed. I was wrong.

Disagreement is normal and constitutional when talking about the president but who ever said he was a prophet in the first place. For him to say Obama is not a prophet implies that he thinks some people think of the president as just that.

That kind of talk especially from a celebrity is irresponsible. I hope this story comes and goes with minimal press. A man of his stature should have more respect for the president of the United States. I guess some people are having a problem coming to terms with the reality of the White House. Hey Jon,"The people have spoken," live with it. We lived with every other president.

Guess Mr. Voight needs to reorganize his investment portfolio and figure out a way to have a better relationship with his open minded daughter.

Mr. Voight is wrong and his long history of out landish conservative radicalism is cause for alarm His use of terms like "false prophet" is code language for radicals like him to others that President Obama muist be stopped at all costs. This is similar rehtoric that drove Mr. Roeder to kill Dr. Tiller.

Let's see: Jon Voight, Dennis Miller, Ted Nugent, Victoria Jackson, Jerry Zucker of "Airplane!" fame, Kelsey Grammer. What do these people have in common?

First, they've all come out as conservatives (or neo-cons in some cases).

Second, every last one of them is washed up.

Moral of the story: You might be able to resurrect your flagging career by appealing to America's lowest common denominator.

    John Voight who????

It looks like he can't get an acting job so he is going into politics....thats what we need, another actor that can't get a job acting. Just go the actor grave yard, maybe he will find his acting career there. this is just like when Bush became president all the Dems said the same kind of things. The left or the right will just slam to other just to get the money from the donors for power. Maybe someday someone will really care about this nation and do the right thing instead of the "how do I stay in power"

It is time for a new party that cares about the people and not trying to just be in power and impose the beliefs on us.

Freedom was the reason our founding fathers made a nation.

He is SO RIGHT. Obama is such a fake, a con man who is an empty suit on a daily basis.

I'm so EMBARRASED that Obama is our president.

Wow, he is as crazy as his daughter. False prophet, I don't get that reference. Were their religious undertones, if so were they Christian, Jewish or Muslim?

I am sorry John V but whatever sensationalist propaganda that was fed to you was clearly abhorrent of any truth. We are the liberators of the world? We are a source for good? wow that is way off. We have have done some good things, we may have liberated some people, but we are not the SOURCE of good nor are we the LIBERATORS of the human race.

Speaking of sources, we are the # 1 source of all weapons found throughout the world. I assume that wasn't what he meant by the "source of good in the world."

Wow...The Great Liberators? Julius Caesar? False Prophet? Anyone who has to use phrases like that can't possibly have a meaningful thing to say to anyone, unless they are just like him. Thankfully he is in the minority. Obama should make Liberal Arts degrees free for the next four years–he would be King Obama by the end of his second term.

Anyone with an education and an open mind (who doesn't have some financial reason for thinking otherwise) can not deny that Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in generations. I really can't see how any educated person could think this Voight makes any sense at all. Reality is good place to be, Jon. Try it out! Make up with your daughter–maybe she'll let you babysit for a few bucks. No, on second thought, we don't your influence on any more young lives.

Where does this "Prophet" stuff even come from?

So I guess 9/11 is old enough to not get the fear rising enough anymore so we are using "end of days" religious foretelling now as the source of fear.

Awesome use of the Holy Bible....To spread fear.

Nice going Voight!! Enjoy your special lake of fire.

LOL at the premise of being oppressed because America is not being allowed to start another war.

It really annoys me to hear someone speak about the thoughts and motivations of a person they've never met. To hear Jon voight tell people what President Obama is really thinking is like me telling someone what Jon Voight was really thinking when he made that ridiculous speech.

The fact that President Obama is well liked and even loved around the world is a cause for celebration here at home. I'm happy that we have an American President who can go to the middle east and not have shoes thrown at him or can openly visit european capitals without hiding and sneaking around.

The president's approach is simple and straight forward, we can gain more traction with friends than enemies. He's appealing to those who are willing to give America a chance and trying to build bonds between nations. He doesn't see an enemy in every Muslim or Arab and although his approach may take time to work, it's certainly a more morale approach than war, torture and pretending that our constitutional principles are simply too inconvenient to follow.

A solid majority of Americans agree. The RNC (Rush, Newt and Cheney) along with Palin and now Voight are stuck in a cold war attitude of "Us vs. Them", perhaps drawn into it by their devotion to anything 'Reagan'. But 1980 was nearly 30 years ago!

Your ideas are old and stale, and your time has passed. The 'Age of Obama' is upon us.

    YES WE CAN!!!!

Peggy Cavanagh you said "President Obama has a 70% approval rating as of today June 9,2009 (compared to Bush's 12% approval rating when he left office). "

And what's your point...lets see what Obama's approval is when he leaves office.

This man is a failed actor. Even his daughter will have nothing to do with him. Who is he to call the President of the United States a false prophet? He wants to blame Obama for the failure of the GOP. They are the ones who have dug a deep hole for this country. He and his cohorts have to pay the price for their deceitful misleading of this nation.

Why is it okay for Dem's to bring out celebrities, but if a Rep. celebrity speaks his mind you liberals have a fit. Not everyone is in love with Obama – get a grip!

It's really a shame that the GOP has sunk this low. It's a problem, a real problem, when the GOP's "leaders" sound more and more like Fascists everyday. Good Lord listen to yourselves!

Pres. Obama has NEVER said that he is the messiah or claimed to be a prophet. Perhaps there is real fear from the right that he may actually be such.
