Crist holds lead in GOP Senate primary

Charlie Crist is maintaining a comfortable lead over his GOP primary challenger.
Crist holds a 31 point lead over former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio, 54-23 percent, in the new Quinnipiac University Poll. More than 20 percent of Republicans in Florida remain undecided.
The popular first term governor announced in May that he would forgo re-election in 2010 and instead run for the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Mel Martinez, a fellow Republican. Crist immediately won the backing by the Senate Republican leadership.
The poll surveyed 486 Republicans from June 2-7 and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
Well that could make the GOP in the Senate very happy, but he also praised Obama...
I am a Democrat and proud of it, I am loyal to the party, but if a Repulican in my state and district can do the job better, yeah I will vote for him or her. If they bring back the jobs that were lost overseas, if they can restart the steel industries, if they can restart the textile business. Then they got my vote, but if they do not, don't expect me to vote for them again.
Charlie may have supported the stimulus bill, but that doesn't mean I want another republican senator in Congress.
Rubio is going to get his bottom handed to him.

So let me get this straight. Crist, a Republican, who supported 'socialist/fascist' President Obama's 'evil' stimulus bill is being supported by the majority of Republicans in Florida. Do you hear this my fellow Dems? I guess it's o.k. to support our 'evil' President's 'pork bill' if it wins a Republican votes. That said, I like Crist for supporting our President BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.

Why can't Obama pass a law to give people money? They can give billions and billions to all the banks and corporations. Imagine that money going to actual people... they could pay their mortgage, and buy cars, and then those banks and corporations would have the money they need. I think actually giving people money, rather than just promising to give them money will get him more votes.
as a senator, can he deliver the goods, or will he be a yes man for organized labor, Aipac, and the rest..the American people need men who can keep their distance from the lobbying groups who will want to cash their chips every once in a while..can he put the blinders on and move forward without them..time will tell, but history, and protected bagage say no..

I am a true blue Independent and I will vote for this Republican because he is for real when it comes to working across the isle and getting the job done. He also has a great respect for me (the voter) and does not play games. I might even campaign for him as I did President Obama 🙂

The voters will be desperate to stop the bleeding and will put repubs in power to gridlock washington and catch their breath. It' a foregone conclusion, and crist knows it.

Marco Rubio is proving that pandering to the far right, may be good for ratings if you are a radio entertainer, but is not a winning political strategy for candidates for public office.
Floridians want leaders who will compromise and work with the opposing party and fight for real solutions that can gain enough support to be enacted into law.
When Repuglicans pander to the far right, they lose elections.

Refreshing news for Floridians. Crist is not afraid to put his people's needs ahead of his political career.
I certainly hope that Mr. Crist manages to win the GOP primary. This will enable both the GOP and Democratic parties to nominate candidates who are willing to identify candidates who are interested in governing the state of Florida. We can't afford to elect another Governor who is only interested in winning the office so he can use it as a springboard for his next office,
This is the type of Centrist Republican we need in the party. Barring anything unforeseen, Obama will wrap up the 2012 election. Mr. Christ will be poised for 2016! Thus, we can send the out of touch GOPers; Newt, Palin, Cheney and Rush packing!!!
As a Florida Demcrat, I am proud to have Charlie Crist as my governor and willl be even prouder to have him reperesent me in Congress
For the first time in my entire life, I contributed to a political campaign, and that was for Rubino. Crist is a RINO at best, and does not deserve to represent the party!

A fascist was someone like Hitler, who lied to the people of Germany about the Jewish people until the Germans bought his lies and allowed the killing of millions!
A fascist, is more like BUSH, whose minions questioned every American who dared to disagree with the Bush Regime policies. Calling us, un-American, unPatriotic!
