WASHINGTON (CNN) - The House of Representatives voted 307-97 Friday to approve a bill that would give the Food and Drug Administration power to regulate the manufacturing, marketing and sale of tobacco.
The House had passed a similar measure in April, but needed to approve the Senate version, which passed Thursday.
The measure will now go to President Barack Obama for his signature.
Hey Puzzled, you birther...go to Barack Obama Birth Certifcate... you will see the Birth certificate of Obama,... Remember George Washington parents were born In England.... Give Me a Big Break.... This is nothing more than being an idiot, if you have any brains, and i think you know what Google, look it up I did.
This is utterly nonsense,....
@ Cali J, who said "Tobacco is legal just like alcohol. The government needs to stay out of our lives. "
Begging the question. The gov't is already inserted in the decision to allow these things to remain legal. Otherwise, in order to be sane, logical and consistent, you'd have to take the position that we need to deregulate ALL drugs and pharmies...perhaps on this inane theory that because people know it's bad for them, no regulation is necessary and if they're dumb enough to use them, it's only their problem, not society's as well.

get some air, walk away from the keyboard
it seems that the campaign contributions have dried up from the tabacco industry. just imagine how many other industries could be fixed if the free money was not so easy to get.

As to Sniffit - well, what can one say to someone with a moniker like that? Kinda reminds one of a gerbil crawling up a bad place!
