Palin tight-lipped on political future

(CNN) - Sarah Palin told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday she's not ready to announce any decision on whether she will seek re-election as governor of Alaska in 2010 or seek the Republcian presidential nomination in 2012.

"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet," said the former Republican vice presidential candidate. "What I'm trying to get done for Alaska right now is to get that Alaska gas line built. We need those energy sources flowing through North America. That's what my focus is."

Pressed if she had made a decision privately about future plans, Palin said "No decision that I'd want to announce today."

In a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released last week, Palin was effectively tied with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as the top pick by Republicans for the party's 2012 presidential nomination.

She is not qualified for the office of President......She has a journalism degree from a modest university.....She should run for Senate (hopefully win) to "cut her teeth" then she should run for President.

Letterman should have is phony teeth kicked in...he's a worthless scumbag for making comments like this about anyones daughter whether she's 14, 18 or 20. The age to me makes no difference. The fact the he is a perverted old man does make a difference and he should be fired from his post and banned from TV. He went over the line on this one and deserves anything and all that he gets. With CBS that means it will be nothing.
What should happen is let Palin and Letterman meet somewhere out behind the barn and may the best person win this battle.
My money is going on Palin. Letterman sucks and is banned in my household.

I'd like to know when Sarah Palin is going to apologize for the rabble rousing she did during the last campaign. We are starting to reap what she has sown.

CNN can parade out all the GOP talking heads you like and they will all "pump up the volume" on this bimbo. But come on, there is nothing there. Sarah Palin is a joke – full stop. The GOP is tired, over run with angry old white men (and women) railing against whatever comes down the pike, clutching at straws and generally just making a nuisance of themselves.

We have McCains Stupidity to thank for puttting Palin in the limelight as a possible VP. Now we have to listen and see her everyday on television, on the news, on the computer. She wont go away.. Majority of the people dont want to hear about her or see her or hear her.

Now we have to hear every rebuttle, every complaint, every whine this woman makes and we cannot sit and watch a newscast without her on it!

If she becomes anymore in politics than she already has, I will move to Australia!!!!!

Matt, I disagree with your statement. I'm a liberal and not the least bit closed minded or a bigot. I don't think you're a closed minded bigot just because your political views are different than mine. Now lumping us all together as one without taking into consideration our different views could be deemed as such. But I truly only wish you the best. Have a nice day.

She's really taking it to David Letterman, as she should. Palin is getting the best of him, that's for certain. Letterman lacks class.

  10. Republicans Are The American Taliban

Sarah refuses stimulus money for infrastructure improvement as "socialist" yet now asks the federal government to finance a gas pipeline for the benefit of Exxon Mobil. She makes a speech warning how the federal governments finance of projects are meant only to allow it to "control our lives", yet now wants that financing in her own state. Isn't this the very pipeline she claimed was already built during the last campaign? Exxon just had the largest 5 year record profits of any company in history. Why dont they fund their own pipeline? She claims to be a Christian, yet doesn't know what forgiveness is.She stands and smiles as people at her campaign rallys call out for the assassination of her opponent. She has been exorcised to remove demons from her. Where did she get them in the first place? Not the kind of loose cannon, flip flopping hypocrite I would want running any level of government.

It's disgusting that people are running for President already, w/ a new president in office.....it's disrespectful on so many levels.......when the economy was cratering half these so called leaders were mum......Now they have so much to say Obama/Biden 2012.....
Let's be clear Obama is starting his Presidency w/ the biggest mess since FDR, and maybe greater considering the 2 wars we have going on. Also Iran, & N. Korea........
And all one half of the country wants to do is hate and blame, and lie......In 6 months we've seen the worst of the GOP, out of power.....in 8 yrs. we saw them in action in power.....controlling 2 brances of gov for six years..........And u think America will put you guys back in power?

Get used to seeing news on Sarah Palin. The current administration and congress's rookie performance so far is better for her election than any campaign money could buy.

Palin put the children in play. SHE dragged the infant in front of the cameras in a sad attempt to portray perfect Republican family values. SHE used her pregnancy and that of her pregnant daughter as a sop to right wing. SHE sent her daughter out on a speaking tour promoting the very abstinence education that had already failed her!!!

either Palin's hypocrisy is endless or she doesn't have enough sense to see that the way she used her children in the McCain campaign is completely different from the restraint showed in managing Malia and Sasha during the Obama campaign.

    or both.

  14. CBS's pedophilia jokes

what pedophilia jokes? did I miss this, or are you talking about David Letterman?

If you are, you are completely exaggerating beyond what Palin could accomplish

Which not only makes you useless, but stupid

Last November the American voters sent Sarah Palin a strong mandate to sit down and shut up. I, for one, wish that she would comply with the wishes of the people!
I have news for you, Frank! Sarah Palin - whether we want her for president or not - has a significant message that resonates with a LOT of us Americans. And WE won't sit down and shut up, no matter what YOU want, child!

" Palin Tight Lipped On Political Future". Great. ! Keep it that way.

BTW, why is there no groundswell of complaint about stupid Letterman hanging Statutory Rapist sign around the neck of Alex Rodriquez. Altar boy he's not, but sex with a fourteen year old ?

And of course, "Tight Lipped" Palin can't shut up about it. This will last a day or two, then we'll be back top watching her try to steal tax payer money to construct that natural gas pipeline for use by Private Enterprise. Socialist ?

I hope she does!!! She's already given us a first impression and those in the middle didn't like it the first time!!! Run Sarah, run. This time she won't cause someone else to lose! She'll do it on her own.
Robin, us liberals don't hate her, we hate what she spews and what she pretends to stand for. We're scared to death the the party of bigots, and white supremists (the republicans) will take over and the extreme religious right who wants to make laws against everybody that doesn't think like them. NO hate mongering here just afraid for my like if the right wing takes over.

you are guaranteed that she will keep coming back, maybe with merchandising (Palin energizer bunny shirts) or Vegas betting odds

Keep it up Sarah! The more that you are in the news, the more the un-educated morons on the left get pissed off. Mostly because they have homosexual tendencies and refuse to accept that there is a woman that is supperior to them in all aspects.

LOL...you make a post like this and call other people uneducated. FYI – the "uneducated morons of the left" are the ones who support education, while the right continues push for cuts in education.
