Palin tight-lipped on political future
(CNN) - Sarah Palin told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday she's not ready to announce any decision on whether she will seek re-election as governor of Alaska in 2010 or seek the Republcian presidential nomination in 2012.
"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet," said the former Republican vice presidential candidate. "What I'm trying to get done for Alaska right now is to get that Alaska gas line built. We need those energy sources flowing through North America. That's what my focus is."
Pressed if she had made a decision privately about future plans, Palin said "No decision that I'd want to announce today."
In a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released last week, Palin was effectively tied with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as the top pick by Republicans for the party's 2012 presidential nomination.
Let me get this straight. Limbaugh et al can say what they want about the President and it's okay and falls under feee speech but Letterman makes a couple of jokes about a GOP and it's an outrage?

Palin is the bizzare one who call press conferences but then has nothing new to say, just her usual whinning about the so called Liberal Media. Us Liberal are not scared of Palin, were sick of her and want to make sure for every one Palin fan that may support her that there's two of us Liberals to vote aganist her. We want to make sure this person never gets anywhere near the White House or tries to steal an election like President Bush did. We learned that you have to keep a close eye on even the most ridiculous political figures or you end up with 8 years of someone like Bush/Cheney in power. Palin is a diva who wants the fame and now that she has had a taste of it, she will do whatever she has to to stay in the spotlight, even if it's creating a stage for racist to act out there hate. That's what bothers us Liberals.

Why Palin is fighting this battle is beyond me. Especially since she already has more than enough willing surrogates coming to her defense, even some from the opposite end of the political spectrum, like the National Organization of Women, not exactly a conservative group. Let them get muddied up fighting your battles. She already has a history of zealous vindictiveness (i.e. the episode with her brother-in-law, the state trooper), and this battle only helps confirm that characteristic. She would do well to follow her former running mate's advice that he gave last year during the campaign: "Never get into a wrestling match with a pig. You both just get dirty and the pig likes it."

Sara Palin is a joke, I don't understand how the people of Alaska could elect her Gov. President, you can't be serious. She need to study 24/7 for the next decade and still would not be ready to led the country. It's one thing for you people to like her but to think she could be President come on. Keep in mind that most people voted for change because of the economic issues and an unpopular president. You libs seem to think that there has been this huge social metamorphosis and sundenly ther is a lib super majority in this country. This will be the dems downfall again.
And before you comment about the whole 20% Republican thing.... consider the facts; In the same poll only 30% or so of all people considered themselves Dems. People tend to not admit that they backed the losing team.

If Sarah Palin is not a threat why all the attacks? Because she the one who is complaining that the media is mean to her, but she continues to use them just to say in the limelight, she a phony and last but lease a DEE DEE DEE (mentally challenged)
Count me as one very proud liberal who IS scared of Sarah Palin. Or rather her bigotry which fans the flame of divisivness and hatred in the right-wing nut cases that follow her.
That being said, SHE is the one who brought her children into the political arena over and over and over again during the campaign. She paraded them onstage at almost every campaign event she was at . . . all for her political gain. SHE and her husband are the ones who keep bringing her daughter, Willow's, name into the press in connection with "statutory rape". Again, only for her political gain. How do you think her 14 year old daughter feels about that??!!!
She is NOT a good mother in my opinion and she is NOT an intelligent thoughtful policitican and most importantly, she really hasn't shown herself to be a very good person. She has never appeared to have the best interest of the country at heart . . . only her own political gain. Period.

How many private contractors are we still paying for in Iraq, for medicare and other federal government jobs at ridiculous cost?? Last I heard there were 10's of thousands still in Iraq earning several times what our troops were earning; plus they were still screwing up medicare, social security, the State Dept., and other supposedly government jobs. Why does no one care? Why no investigations?
More importantly, why are the major news organizations pushing against a special prosecutor for all the war crimes of the last administration?

How many far right republicans are open minded to the notion of complete equality among humans and society..
Do you accept people of other colors and faiths and even the homosexuals among us ? Or do you think that the only "correct" and "worthy" people are the fundamentalist Christians ?
Until you are willing to accept all people and all faiths then unfortunately more open minded people will stereotype conservatives.
One hopes the leading contender will have an understanding of the power of communicating with the spoken word. While the American public may be perceived by our leaders as a common uneducated mass, be aware we have the ability to recognize a poorly delivered sentence.

I love to look at Sarah, but I would not and will not vote for her to be POTUS. She is truly a bimbo, this last interview was icing on the cake. She speaks like a child just learning how to form words.
But I will watch her on one of the reality shows. She cracks me up everytime she tries to sound smart and her brain is not matching up with the words coming out!
