Palin tight-lipped on political future

(CNN) - Sarah Palin told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday she's not ready to announce any decision on whether she will seek re-election as governor of Alaska in 2010 or seek the Republcian presidential nomination in 2012.

"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet," said the former Republican vice presidential candidate. "What I'm trying to get done for Alaska right now is to get that Alaska gas line built. We need those energy sources flowing through North America. That's what my focus is."

Pressed if she had made a decision privately about future plans, Palin said "No decision that I'd want to announce today."

In a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released last week, Palin was effectively tied with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as the top pick by Republicans for the party's 2012 presidential nomination.

Yes, malclave, I thought that was a good one. Looks like Palin did not understand it otherwise she would have laughed too. She ought to take him up on his offer so we can laugh at her some more. Can't wait until she runs in the GOP primary. Then you will see Newt anothers making her out to be a cows lower half also.

To all of you people who speak ill of Sarah Palin, have you ever actually listened to her speak, or do you get all of your information from Saturday Night Live and David Letterman?

Look at it this way, if liberals hate someone so much, she must be a real American and be good for this country – unlike Obama.

She has no political future and she's living in a fantasy world if she thinks that the voters will forget how she came across in the election last year. Only her very small right wing group pretends to support her and the rest of the country thinks she's a huge joke. Get over your self-important view of yourself Sarah because nobody cares anymore!

Did any of you Republican bozos even watch the Letterman show in question? I doubt it. It was clear to anyone with a clue that he was talking about the daughter that did get knocked up not some 14 year old that no one has heard of. She is clearly preaching to an audience of mental midgets.

Re: Sue—"there are plenty of us who like and care about Sarah Palin.
She's been trashed from the beginning because the media wanted Obama , and didn't like her. Too bad, you as a woman, can't stand behind someone who obviously has succeeded in her life..."

There are not enough people who support Palin to get her elected. YOU may like, her but fortunately, most people see her for what she is: not intelligent enough to be President, not well-enough educated to be President; too narrow-minded, inarticulate, petty, vindictive and too much a religious fanatic to be President. The media did not create her. Maybe they exposed her but that's their job. Good work. I want to know who I am voting, or not voting, for.

The mere fact that she is biologically female would be an idiotic reason for me to support her. It's not "too bad" that I don't support an unqualified candidate simply because she is female–it's good! I am pleased that I have critical faculties.

In contrast, your arguments are flimsy and unconvincing, like Palin's own little video about Letterman (so lame). Again, there are not enough like you, luckily, to get her elected.

Liberals hate her because of the way she talks. Run on sentences, failed syntax, and silly thoughts. That is why JP. Its not fear, its because she acts like a female W. If you want to see people move out of this nation wholesale let that women in office. This nation would break into about 4 little ones. But fret not, she will never make it out of the primaries if she runs for national office.

I kinda think Palin did it to herself, but hey, if you feel better faulting the Libs, go for it.

You are way out of your league blogging on CNN. Your commentaries might be better received at FOX.

It is a horrific thought that this woman is one of the faces of the GOP. I am a Republican but to think that this unqualified embarrassment representing my party gives me nightmares. Are Republicans really running out of good candidates? Apparently it is. She's good for entertainment because she's nothing more than a political clown people use to laugh at behind her back (Republicans included). It surprises me still that people voted her for GOVERNOR!

jp.. I HAVE ZERO fear of Sarah Palin just as I have zero respect for her. I am a woman and see right through her incompetent charade. I have no fear this woman will ever be in the White House, only a minority of neocon right wingers or men who like how she looks in a skirt like her. And no I am not jealous of her either. I have a good career and do not dream for a handicapped child, a son who had to go to Iraq or face jail time for being a vandal and an unwed daughter. And while the hubby is good looking he belonged to the Alaskan Separationist Party headed by ex terrorist Joe Vogler.

Kudos to David Letterman. His joke was funny. C'mon people, he's a comic doing what he does. Dave showed class with his quick response which ended up being a monologue. The Palins immediately went to the gutter crying rape and making it into some devious comment. If you're in politics, you need a tough skin. Sarah and Todd just want to extend their already over-extended 15 minutes.

However much I dislike Sarah Palin , I do think the Letterman joke is offensive and her daughter was owed an apology. Perhaps if her daughter would stop making a fool of herself and stop being on People Magazine the comedians would leave her alone

Where was Palin when her followers were calling for the head of our President Obama - calling him a Muslin and saying to kill him - I did not hear HER say anything to those individuals (Mr. McCain did have the tact to call those people out). Go away Sarah Palin - you will NEVER reach the White House!

Remember the movie "9 to 5" when Dolly Parton told Dabney Coleman that she was going to "turn him from a rooster to a hen with one shot". Yeah, that's what I'd tell ole' Dave Letterman if he had insulted my daughter! LOL

Shew is ridiculous! Palin supported Bush and Cheney's policies that nearly bankrpted America! Her and her party Spent our country into oblivion?
Supporting big business and the rich, sacrificing middle class America?
Voting against bills such as raising the minimum wage, better benefits for our soldiers, veterans?
Supporting an unfounded war killing thousands of American fighting men, women and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens?
Supporting the continuation of outdated, unworkable policies that almost destroyed our country?
Overwhelmingly supporting the death penalty when many innocents have lost their lives due to a broken justice system?
Allowing the greed of big business to rape American citizens?
Wrecking the economy, health and education systems?
Politicians having no solutions of their own so resort to lies,
distortions, fear mongering, hate, anger and unrest within our
Obstructing anything presented regardless of it's merits?
Putting party over the survival of our country?
Never admitting to or acknowledging the mistakes of these last eight years?
The continuation of politics as usual?
Supporting dishonorable, evil radicals as leaders, spokespeople of their party?
These are principles? Then, they arque saying they are against big government, but are for Homeland Security looking into every Americans business, phone calls, credit and private operations. Also, she is for two government sponsored Wars, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard ! What hypocrisy!

Sarah Palin should just disappear in anonymity! I am an immigrant and do not speak such a poor English as she does. Let alone her hollow ideas! Just let her be quiet and go back to school. Enough!!!
