Palin tight-lipped on political future
(CNN) - Sarah Palin told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday she's not ready to announce any decision on whether she will seek re-election as governor of Alaska in 2010 or seek the Republcian presidential nomination in 2012.
"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet," said the former Republican vice presidential candidate. "What I'm trying to get done for Alaska right now is to get that Alaska gas line built. We need those energy sources flowing through North America. That's what my focus is."
Pressed if she had made a decision privately about future plans, Palin said "No decision that I'd want to announce today."
In a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released last week, Palin was effectively tied with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as the top pick by Republicans for the party's 2012 presidential nomination.

why does palin fault Obama for his MidEast comments...we need to be friends with the Palestinians AND the Israelis if we are to ever have any influence in the region...a one-seded approach will not lead to the road to peace...

The latest attacks by David Letterman on her 14 year old girl were outrageous and this avid David Letterman watcher will no longer be watching his show. He has taken things to far.
It is okay to support your political party but never at the expense of demeaning and attacking women and children.
People like David Letterman, Chris Matthews and others who continue to attack and demean women are not true Democrats they are just a bunch of dried up sexists that need to go away and hide under the rock they crawled out of.
The type of comments these men make are a slap in the face to real Democrats.

Well – NOT a Palin fan, and I usually enjoy Letterman, but the kids should be off-limits, even an 18 year-old with a baby. This should also apply to the celebrity daycare in L.A. that's being besieged by paparazzi. Whatever we think of Sarah she's a mother and loves her kids; to paraphrase Jim Croce – "you don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, and you don't mess around with Mom!"

Sarah Palin may be a GOOD person, BUT no matter how hard she tries SHE JUST SOUNDS DUMB! Iknow that sounds harsh, and I say it with no malice. I felt the same way about President Bush, he really felt he was doing the right thing. But VERY often he wasn't knowledgeable enough to know he was making HUGE mistakes. Now the country and the world is suffering from his POOR leadership skills. The sooner Governor Palin totally concentrates on Alaska and gets out of the media..the better.

Oooh.. one other thing. The Letterman joke was in bad taste. I am sure David DID NOT know that the 14 year old daughter was the one at the game. AND I am willing to bet, the writer who wrote the joke was told IF he ever made that type of mistake again he would be fired!! Having said that, an apology was issued..and we need to move on... there are MUCH MORE important things to discuss.
Last November the American voters sent Sarah Palin a strong mandate to sit down and shut up. I, for one, wish that she would comply with the wishes of the people!
This is the first sign of someone who is about to run for public office. They become silent about their future plans. I believe that Palin thinks she can win the GOP nomination and subsequently The Presidency. 🙂

I am sick to death of hearing about Sarah Palin and her family! This woman was NOBODY until a 70 year old moron tried to make her a Vice Presidential candidate. Now she is ALL we hear about!! CNN will not go one day without multiple stories about Sarah Palin and her family. CNN is sure doing all they can to keep her in the news, that's for sure.

I personally did not vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin due to the fact that I didn't get a "warm and fuzzy" feeling from a stories that had come out about her husband Todd. I think I would have voted for McCain had Sarah Palin either been seperated, divorced or been married to someone else. Just would have been scared on what pressure he would have put on his wife, if she had to take over the presidency.
