DNC reacts: Palin decision 'continues a pattern of bizarre behavior'

WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Democratic National Committee immediately slammed Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's decision to leave office early.

DNC Spokesman Brad Woodhouse:

"Either Sarah Palin is leaving the people of Alaska high and dry to pursue her long shot national political ambitions or she simply can't handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down. Either way – her decision to abandon her post and the people of Alaska who elected her continues a pattern of bizarre behavior that more than anything else may explain the decision she made today."

If any of you have seen her give an interview or even her speech today.. "bizarre behavior"....really is the most accurate description.

When the going gets tough, Sarah Palin quits. She's erratic and a quitter, not exactly the qualities I'm looking for in a national leader.

But for the gop, as desperate as they are, they will no doubt still promote this quitter. Heck, they hold on to cheats and liars by pardoning them with lame excuses – see newt gingrich. Their principles are only strong in their rhetoric and setting standards for others – their actions say otherwise. I'm sure they'll find excuses for a quitter too. She couldn't even finish a one year committment she made to the state of Alaska. Bye bye credibility.

Amen, to DNC Spokesman Brad Woodhouse! You nailed it Brad. Little 'innocent' Sarah broke out on the national stage with attacks against the media, attacks against President Obama, and attacks against a whole lot of good people whose only crime was to help "organize their communities". But community organizers defended their views and beat Palin at the poles where the fight really counts.

I thought she made it very plain in her statement. She will not allow any more money from the taxpayers to be used for defending stupid aligations. 2 million dollars is an awful lot in todays recession. Sarah knows what she is doing. She is saving the taxpayers money and will save her familys money. 2 million of taxpayer money and half a million of her own money. Why and who can fault her for that?

    -

So instead of honoring her committment and working to find solutions, she quits. Real honorable. Your excuse for her is laughable.

Personally, I think Sarah Palin was just simply feed up with the disgusting crap that comes out of our newsmedia and late night comedians. Had any of this stuff been directed at the Obama family David Letterman and the likes would be joing the other unemployed in America.

What's funny is the people on here who think she still has a chance at the Presidency in 2012.

If Sarah Palin made this decision for herself, her family, and her beliefs, I have all the respect in the world for her and wish her the best of luck in everything she does.

HOWEVER if she thinks she has a shot AT ALL at the Presidency, she's sadly mistaken. She's left her post, for better or worse, and THAT along from the 2008 election stigma has doomed her chances.

Any party who nominates her is throwing their nomination away. Don't get me wrong; she'll attract the same voting bloc that loved her 6 months ago. She'll never CHANGE MINDS to support her (at least not enough) with this latest move. It's just common sense.

And we will now get to listen to even more of the Obama Democrat party of hate, racism, and sexism spew more lies about Sarah Palin.

Don't be lulled into complacency Dems......Always remember it's about the art of the game with Repubs......It's not about 'family values'.....It's not about the so labeled 'opulent spending' of this administration......It's about being in power.....Winning takes precedent over country, integrity, values, etc......Case in point; they applauded John McCain when he flaunted Palin on center stage, knowing full well after two weeks, that she had the class and savvy
    of a pin-up doll......

Their plan now (having no other standout choices) is to groom her into a worthy opponent for the President.....It won't matter to them that she has again been scripted.....And though she'll have traveled abroad more, learned some new big words, and adopted a few 'fall-back' phrases, she'll still be the same whiplash-talking right wing riotous rebellion spouting Christian.......They'll throw her out there as if she's got more to offer than even then Senator Clinton had at the height of the primaries......

Republicans have no shame, no more class, and no consciences.....They still tote their Bibles, but I would wonder when was the last time any of them took the time to read them.....Mainly the passages that talk about not lying, cheating, bearing false witness, etc......Just thinking out loud....

I'm with you Paul. What I heard her say is: she can't do any good for the people while trying to fight the moronic news media with their attacks on her and her family! She is going to step out of the limelight so she can hopefully do some good without all the attention of the morons, that can't believe someone really cares and wants to make a difference. She is speaking words of love, but you don't hear it!
What is your hidden agenda Begala? What have you accomplished?

YOU GO SARAH!! SOME OF US DO UNDERSTAND AND BELIEVE IN YOU, AND PRAY THERE IS SOMEONE IN POLITICS THAT CAN'T BE BOUGHT!

I don't know why people are infatuated with her. She clearly doesn't have the intellect to make major decisions the will effect the lives of others. Now we know she doesn't have the integrity to finish a job she was commited to. I think she should take care of her beautiful family and figure out what she is good at. It won't be as President that's for sure.

We have bigger problems. The President avoided a financial meltdown. He inherited a mess. She's just a small state governor who is very inexperienced. Let's not overrate her. She's insignificant.

How anyone can stick up for this whack job Palin is also quite bizarre! And anyone who would say that she is more intellegent than Obama or Biden cant be too sharp themselves or havnt been paying attention. Something is about to come out very damaging about Palin. She craves the spotlight and all the sudden she wants out of it? There is much more to this story. Btw, she had trouble finishing community college. Obama graduated from Harvard. She isnt smart enough to turn her quiting the governorship into a political chess move. She will get eaten alive!
