Biden on Palin: 'I take her at her word'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/07/04/art.biden070409.gi.jpg caption="Joe Biden says that he's not going to second guess Sarah Palin's decision to resign as governor of Alaska."](CNN) - Joe Biden said Saturday that he's not going to second guess Sarah Palin's decision to step down as governor of Alaska at the end of the month.

The vice president would not speculate on what led to Palin's move. "I didn’t hear her press conference," Biden told the New York Times. "All I was told was that she said and related to it was a personal decision a family decision and I take her at her word."

"In my experience that’s how 95 percent of decisions by public officials in both parties are made when they’re this important to their careers," Biden said.

Class from a guy who tells like it is – you wouldn't expect him to pull punches. She's wide open for upper cut and he holds back because this guy has a little thing that's lacking from the right – class. Take a lesson from this guy. He lost his wife and little guy right after winning his senate seat and didn't retreat into the wilderness.

I may not understand her reasoning or agree with it, but will say that I do hope she stays at home, cares for her special needs son, and let the other capable Republcans leaders try to add good ideas to our country.

I'm not a Palin fan, but: thank you, Mr. Biden, for taking her at her word. Why can't we all just wait and see what will happen? I'm sick of the speculation of the so-called news media. They call it "analysis", but most of it is pure speculation. And most of it turns out to be wrong. And of course we are bombarded with the speculation on the 24 hour "news" outlets because they don't have anything else to fill up 24 hours with.

If Palin thinks she has any sort of future in politics after this, then she's even dumber than I think she is. Slather her in butter – she's toast.

  8. Limbaugh is a liberal

Palin has the galls to accuse others about all the media attention she's been getting. Guess what, the media stopped all news about her for two weeks now because of celebrity deaths, Mark Sanford, and the approaching July 4th weekend. But she purposely called the media conference announcing her resignation NOW, just so that she'd be top story for another weeked. And You can bet your life she'll continue calling the media again and again in the coming weeks. She's an attention-hungry hypocrite, nothing more!

Media, please stop printing news about Palin! NOBODY cares what she does or what she has to say. Let her fall into obscurity! She's yesterday's news! Even news about Lindsay Lohan's perpetual rehab was more entertaining and useful than any article you've written about Palin lately!

  10. FORMER republican, NEVER again!

She is a clueless pathological liar. We all know there is more to this then whatever she said it was, not that any of us understood what she said anyway. Has this woman ever spoke in a complete sentence?

    Finally Biden shows some class.

Everyone just needs to leave the Palin family alone.

Let her do her thing and get over it. You people are obsessed. Yes I said "you people".

NOW John (old man) McCain says he respects Sarah Palin. Why then does one of his staffers do such mean-spirited things toward her? He should stop it! McCain is nothing but a democrat in heart, and the only reason I held my nose and voted for him was because of SARAH PALIN !!! Go home and retire McCain...you've done enough damage to this great country ... ie Keating Five, Gang of Ten, etc etc. What a jerk!
