Palin PAC raises $730K in six months

Sarah Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, has raised close to $730,000 since the beginning of 2009.

Sarah Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, has raised close to $730,000 since the beginning of 2009.

(CNN) - Just over a week after announcing her intention to resign as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin's political action committee reports raising close to $730,000 in the first six months of the year.

According to a report filed with the Federal Elections Commission Monday, SarahPAC raked in $732,867 from the beginning of the year through June 30. The former GOP vice presidential candidate's PAC further reported more than $450,000 cash on hand with no debts owed.

The FEC report shows the majority of contributions, $420,000, has come from donations of under $200. By law, the PAC does not have to identify those contributors. More than 700 individuals meanwhile gave over $200 to the committee.

But Palin, who has pledged to spend her days out of the governor's office supporting conservative candidates, has yet to dig deep into the coffers for many candidates.

According to the report, the PAC has only made two political contributions this year: $5,000 to John McCain's Senate reelection bid and $5,000 to Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski's effort.

Palin's largest expenditure, just over $100,000, was to Virginia fundraising firm Edonation.com.

Levi Johnson did not work so what were the chances he would have voted for anybody! Nice to know Palin lost Levi's vote. Please somebody, remind him she isn't running for anything and that he can keep that "vote".

I said once that I was going to let her go... and actually I have made a lot of progress lately ... and yes, this is my last comment! For real!!! If she ever comes close to the white house I will rely on God to reassure me, something I often do when someone gives me great concern. I prayed a lot during the Bush years!!!! The greatest thing about the US democracy is that a president cannot stay more that 8 years... yes, I know, a lot of damage can be done...(as we know) but if things go to much to the extreme one way of the other the system always bounces back!!! I am French, lived in the US for 18 years and was thrilled when I took the American Citizenship. I don't think Sarah Palin would like me very much! She probably would think that I am a scary Socialist..
You know those French people!!! Who, by the way have a great health care system and don't have to worry about giving a good education to their kids! (By the way Sarkosy is from the right!) . In France we say "L'indifference est le plus grand des m├ępris". My bad translation would be "show indifference when you despise someone" . The wolf hunting makes me sick and showing indifference thinking about that is hard...but I am working on it... I know God wants me to be forgiving.

Barack Obama raised more money in August recorded in a one-month period, with his campaign disclosing on Sunday that it collected $66 million and drew 500,000 first-time donors to his candidacy.

That's good! She deserves it after all the crap the media gave, and is still giving, her. She should make millions, and it still wouldn't be enough.

Just like I said before that CNN never posted my comment, the more CNN brings her up the more the liberals are squirming. They don't like her. The more they hate her the more money she makes trough donations. What the liberals should do is to atack the media/CNN for bringing her name up constantly. I'm an independent and I love it. She's laughing all the way to the bank and the liberals can't sleep at night over this. Keep up the good work CNN. .

Sorry that is small money compare to President Obama. She laughing, but she will not be the President of the USA I don't care how much money she rack in from you mindless stupid racist rich white people. SHE DO NOT HAVE THE VOTES. She have about 3,000 followers that is not enough. DO YOU MATH!

Good for her there is nothing more American then selling out.
The Christian way of doing things, maybe not but people in the U.S.A do it all the time. Relax people don't fall to the level of her followers, live and let live. Something they know very little about.

It's just too bad that Palin is not sitting in the Oval Office instead of the complete failure that we are stuck with.

You go girl. Soon the rallies will begin, drawing thousands of people, while she bashes the Obama economic policies and asks the crowd if you're better off now than you were 4 years ago. Dems out of Congress, Republicans back in...it'll be 94 all over again.

Wake up. We're not squirming at ALL. We realize Palin is a disaster and her dropping out as Governor makes her even more worthless as a candidate than she might have been before.

Her claim, for example, that Obama doesn't have the experience she does? He'll have FOUR YEARS in the oval office plus. She'll have...uh...about the same as when she failed as a vice presidential candidate.

    So much for "experience."

What we fear are the types of people who would ever consider her a viable candidate. These are people who have no concept what it takes to run a country. Thank God the majority has awakened.

With around 30 million liberal Democrats who want nothing more than to see her and her family killed, she will need a lot of money just for security. I don't wish what liberals want for the Palin's on anybody, expect maybe Osama Bin Laden, funny how the libs would not wish on Osama what they wish on Sarah Palin.

    Palin is unstoppable for 2012!!!!
She has shown she can take all the trash thrown at her and she keeps going! She is a great inspiration for all Americans and she is not afraid to speak her mind and take on powerful insiders who have always counted her out. No one can deny Palin is an attractive GOP candidate and the frontrunner in 2012.

It shows there are fewer ignorant fools giving Sarah money than ignorant fools giving money to corrupt "Church" ministries on cable. They are the same people who still think George W is a "gift from God." I am sorry, intending no disrespect to Jesus, but many of His followers are down right dangerous.

    But seriously...

how much did the PAC contribute to her legal defense re: ethics complaints? this PAC will be one of the most investigated in history. I give it, and her, one year at best before it, too, is the subject of numerous ethical and criminal investigations. any dope that gives money to her deserves what he or she will get – nothing in return.

The people who donate to Sarah Palin are the same people who buy cotton candy at the circus; sure it's pretty and sweet, but ultimately unsustaining and without substance.

Now that's scary. That there are so many total space cases out there that would actually donate good money to this lying, conniving, ignorant woman is truly frightening.

sara, caribou lil, palin is a loser and a quitter. She uses her children every chance she can get, incites violence against the President of the United States, and lets her own state molder with no direction while she is out doing talk shows and campaigning for herself.

    What a waste of space.

    I have a question.
Every Day we heard about the troops and numbers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
WHY dont we hear ANYTHING about the troops killed in Iraq.
WHY dont we hear ANYTHING about the troops killed in Afghanistan.
It is great to hear about little miss Palin everyday, but really.

I thought this was an administration of transparency.
    Barack is a liar.
    Simply a liar.
He is changing the country and ruining our economy, health care, CIA, everything. This is the wors President of the US ever. HE makes Carter look like a genius.
