Palin gives 'stirring' gun rights speech at NRA dinner, says group

Palin addressed a National Rifle Association dinner in Anchorage Saturday, the group reported on its blog. The NRA did not reveal the content of her remarks, but described them as “a stirring speech on 2nd Amendment rights.” Reporters were not invited to observe the event.
The former Republican vice presidential candidate was also given lifetime memberships in several local gun clubs, and the NRA’s Gold Medal Award of Merit for the Promotion of Gun Collecting.
Palin has not yet given a media interview since leaving officen and has yet to re-launch her Twitter feed after leaving her goubernatorial account behind. Last week, her spokeswoman said that she had never committed to, and would not be attending, a GOP event at the Reagan library at which organizers had expected her to appear.

And just how does someone who seems to only know how to babble and use catch phrases give “a stirring speech on 2nd Amendment rights.” I don't mean to imply that she isn't intelligent when I say, I don't think she knows whats she is saying. It truely seems that during most speaches, she is reading a teleprompter blindly, with no clue as to what she is saying verbally.
i have no issue with people having the right to bear arms..
i do have issue with those who claim to be literal constitutional interpretists.... if you wish to literally interpret the constitution as it was written, then you must take the mindset of when it was written, thus the forefathers could have only meant the arms to be what was availble when they wrote the constitution... muskets and other 18th century weaponry.
so dont be a hypocrite.. either you take it literally and neverchanging, or as something that evolves as time itself does.

If former governor Palin wishes to keep her political aspirations alive giving "stirring" speeches behind closed doors and without any media coverage is not the way to do it. Surely there is even ONE media outlet in Alaska, be it visual or print, with whom the former governor has a good working relationship. I realize that she has painted the "east coast media" with a rather wide brush, but Alaska must have one television or radio station or even one newspaper whose staff she trusts. If not, one can only wonder why not.

She needs a good manager, one who can direct her path and insist that she follows her script. Sometimes it is shameful to listen to the srayry shots she takes at others. Let's be honest. The reason why the did not reveal the content of her remarks is because one can not quote this woman and make sense. This woman just strings words together.
So, she waits to talk at the NRA dinner because I'm sure she was paid to be there...That's no surprise. Sarah's game now is all about the Benjamins, so the media probably won't get anymore statements from Sarah unless they pay for them or attend an event where she's getting paid....This move has nothing to do with the American people. This is all about Sarah.
