WASHINGTON (CNN) - On the eve of President Obama's 200th day in office, The Republican National Committee is releasing a Web video that calls his presidency "a failed experiment" that features "desperate photo-ops [and] a White House in denial."
"200 days," says the narrator in the minute-long spot. "It started. Star Studded. High hopes. All smiles. Photo ops and reassurances. Even an official White House photo for the first pup. With an economy at a crossroads, his experiment started."
The ad points to government bailouts, the stimulus package and deficit spending. "He promised to create or save millions of jobs. But unemployment is up, month after month. Press conference, after press conference. The TV ratings decline. His approval ratings decline. Desperate photo-ops. A White House in denial. Now we face his most dangerous experiment of all: Government takeover of health care An experiment that will cost over one trillion dollars, threaten your private insurance and cost taxpayers hundreds of billions in new taxes."
"The presidency of Barack Obama. A failed experiment in just 200 days."
The spot comes hours after the release of a DNC video that accused Republicans of "inciting mobs" to swarm Democratic town hall
The GOP is an absolute joke! How on earth can President Obama or ANYONE on earth other than BUSH be blamed for the economy?!?! It's positively outrageous!!!! Where was the budget when Clinton left office? Where was the budget when Bush left office – there's your answer GOP.
What is wrong with the Republican Party. Stop complaining and playing playground bully and start coming up with ideas to fix the economy. All they do is complain and reach out to the lowest IQ's in the country for support. Enough already.
So many broken promises already, it's really sad. I didn't vote for him but, since he is our President, I was really hoping he'd do better. Shades of Jimmy Carter: A nice fellow but oh, my.
I support President Obama. I think what he is trying to do is a wonderful thing!
I think in the greatest country on earth affordable health care should be available to everyone not just for those of us lucky enough to have a good paying job with benefits that help us afford it.
I think it should be like public schools – It's available to you But if you want to pay more for private you have that option! I would probably keep my current insurance but the competition (rather than a monopoly) might make mine somewhat more affordable.
Thanks for trying Mr. President!
Hey RNC, you guys made the mess. Obama's just trying to clean it up, and for some reason, you're trying to lock the supply closet.
GROW UP
The RNC, Insurance Companys and special Interest Groups are also bankrolling these IDIOT BLOGGERS. How can you look yourselves in the mirror? Do you like what you see?
"The presidency of Barack Obama. A failed experiment in just 200 days"?
While the Republican destroyed all the work built by the American people for the past 200 year in just 8 years.
Bailouts were necessitated by the fraudulent sales of CDO sub -prime mortgage loans to Investors by Wall Street that looted the vaults of our American banking system........higher unemployment rates among states remain the primary responsibility of State government as the Federal govvernment has the descency to try and help (unlike Bush)....Emergent action, and experimental action are quite different from one another; after failed GOP Governing left some emergent action necessary......The RNC's answers and reactions are rather neurotic and delusional............
What the economy really needs is Al Gore to reverse himself once again and claim that he really did invent the internet. That would get the liberal left back into the stock market
RNC – Nothing but Failure
You can sum it up in three words...........Worst President Ever.
Private insurance has been threating people from day one, it's about time that they feel threaten. People who like private insurance can keep it, people who don't will have options soon.
First of all there is nothing in the dnc ad that looks like a 'mob'. As a registered democrat I really do not like being threatened with 'big brother' tactics because I don't agree with allot of the policies of this administration. The dnc may very well have just bitten their nose off to spite their face. Those protest contained as many democrats as republicans. There are still thousands of democrats who are down to earth and don't believe in bigger and bigger government and certainly DO NOT believe in 'big brother' tactics.
The dnc may just have alienated half of their party! You know a whole lot of us were die hard Hillary supporters and it looks like Pres. Clinton did more today in one day than obama has done in 200 days.
The more the Republicans speak the more it appears they are really racists, not all, but many. Where were all the gop voices during the last 8 years. The silence from the GOP was deafening.
Leave the OBAMA administration alone. Obama deserves your silence now.
The Thugs of NOPE try to trash the President. Good try, blubbering conservidiots. All DNC has to do is run a reminder of just how much the Sniveling Moron class of Reputhuglians ran this country into the ground via their Ponzi Economy tactics.
The RNC is using a page right out of Howard Dean's playbook.
This is what Obama's "I won" attitude gets him. Too blind to see that his "Supermajority" was as thin as a wafer and his partisan approach to running everything would backfire.
Remember Obama was extremely critical of Bush and even joined protests against him.
The word, Republican, is fast becoming synonymous with the word, psychopath.
Definition:
1. somebody affected with a personality disorder marked by aggressive, violent, antisocial thought and behavior and a lack of remorse or empathy ( technical )
2. offensive term: an offensive term for somebody who is regarded as highly antisocial, aggressive, and lacking in empathy ( insult )
The RNC makes me nauseous. They are so desparate to make the President/American people fail. I wonder what they really get out of this?
Gosh. The GOP is beginning to realize that many of the Presidents solutions are working just fine.
Witness the anger, the frustration, the fear, the lies, the mob mentality coming from the right.
Yes, I'd say President Obama is doing what is needed to turn around the economy.
And the republicans? What have they offered in solutions? A big fat zero. Nada. Nothing.
exposed. Mr. One Term Obummer has no clue what office he really ran for.
Bailouts were necessitated by the fraudulent sales of CDO sub -prime mortgage loans to Investors by Wall Street that looted the vaults of our American banking system........higher unemployment rates among states remain the primary responsibility of State government, as the Federal Government has the descency to try and help (unlike Bush).......Emergent action, and experimental action are quite different from one another; after failed GOP Governing left some emergent action necessary the last 8 years......The RNC's answers and reactions are rather neurotic and delusional............
These GOPs are a National Disgrace!!
The RNC, I have just discovered has no Blacks they have do everything in their power to oppose The Obama Administration. They are looking more and more like white supremacist, and wish to take the Nation back 100+ years.
Are they acting on behalf of their constituents or a personal agenda, which I am seeing more and more.?
The RNC just gets more and more childish with every passing breath. What is mentally wrong with these people? They all need a psychiatrist.
Except for a few facts, you could edit these comments to switch right/GOP for left /Dem and still be equally applicable.
