First on the Ticker: RNC Web video targets 'White House in denial'

WASHINGTON (CNN) - On the eve of President Obama's 200th day in office, The Republican National Committee is releasing a Web video that calls his presidency "a failed experiment" that features "desperate photo-ops [and] a White House in denial."

"200 days," says the narrator in the minute-long spot. "It started. Star Studded. High hopes. All smiles. Photo ops and reassurances. Even an official White House photo for the first pup. With an economy at a crossroads, his experiment started."

The ad points to government bailouts, the stimulus package and deficit spending. "He promised to create or save millions of jobs. But unemployment is up, month after month. Press conference, after press conference. The TV ratings decline. His approval ratings decline. Desperate photo-ops. A White House in denial. Now we face his most dangerous experiment of all: Government takeover of health care An experiment that will cost over one trillion dollars, threaten your private insurance and cost taxpayers hundreds of billions in new taxes."

"The presidency of Barack Obama. A failed experiment in just 200 days."

The spot comes hours after the release of a DNC video that accused Republicans of "inciting mobs" to swarm Democratic town hall

It took the Lord 7 days to create the universe. It took George Bush 4 years, with 4 bonus years, to screw it up. Obama is just a mortal man so it will undoubtedly take him mopre than 200 days to clean up the George Bush/Dick Cheney/GOP disaster. This is, I believe, what Donald Rumsfeld would refer to as a "known known."

I'll take this intellectual with a heart in the WH over the pack of bullies any day. This guy will make mistakes, like everyone else, but he'll own up to them and try his best to fix them.

In a coma! GOP still the party of no plan. Lets just spread enough hate around the world and that should take care of it. What a bunch of idiots and their followers are too. Think for yourself people go on line and read the bill. Stop listening to these idiots that don't want good change. They have very good health insurance thats why they don't care. Typical Republicans!

The Obama presidency IS a failed experiment. Let's hope American can have one of those "learning moments" and vote the dems out in 2010 and 2012, before we all go bankrupt.

Hey poor and middle class, get ready for that tax increase Obama said he wouldn't hit you with. You'll be able to recognize it from its name; it will be called VAT.

The Republican party has become a party of sore losers and nut jobs. They call Obama a "failed presidency"? Give me a break. They have no shame.

Our country is in a mess as the direct result of 8 years of George W. Bush. Now there was a failed experiment.

What's with the continual campaign commercials? Its going to be a while before the next congressional election, and even longer until the next presidential election.

Debating policy requires offering a well defined alternative. This doesn't do that. Its a simple smear tactic and smacks of vendetta for Bush's low public approval.

It may appear to you that Obama is failing in 200 days. At least he still has three and half years to do better and torture you racist facts. You Republicans will live your nightmare for the remaining days of Obama's Presidency and that is the fact that he will do better ythan ou had hoped.

STOP THE HATE... If they spend as much time trying to pull their party of of the toilet as they do trying to flush the other party someone may listen to them. If Pres. Obama failed in 200 days what did bush do in 8 years.

LOL! The RNC is in denial. President Obama never said that employment figures would rebound immediately. He categorically and emphatically stated from the outset that the recession would have to abate before the job situation stablilzes and that is envisioned no sooner than next year. These people are flailing like a euthanized animal which refuses to give up the right to life.

Things are not rosy but according to recent reports, the recession is easing up, car dealerships are for the first time in over a year counting some blessings, foreign diplomacy is working and the naysayers can't take it anymore.

Please RNC, get some new blood to inject life into your pitiful party then, as they would say in the islands, "WHEEL AND COME AGAIN"!

Unfortunatly we are the one's that will have to pay for his failed experiment long after he's gone. It's scary to imagine how much damage Obama will do in the short 4 years he's president.

Here is a fact for you GOP – What you are seeing now are still effects of the failed policies of the Bush Administration. it is going to take longer than 200 days to clean up the mess that George Bush made in his eight years in office. The country is tired of "politics as usual" – guaranted that the backlash will continue against anyone – dem or rep – who is viewed as an obstructionist.

If that's what you call failure, then thank goodness we got your retarded logic out of the white house.

Republican in office eight months and 3000 people are murdered on our home soil. Democrat in office for eight months and our country begins the return to world power.

As I recall President Bush had 8 years to earn the biggest failure title how do you define his Presdiency? When did 200 days become the standard for defining a Presidency?? I guess it depends on which Party is crying..........Babies, it's time to grow up.

Boy, things would have been just fine, if only we had elected McCain and his nutjob beauty queen. They would have stimulated the economy by declaring another war.

This is one of the most deluded hypocritical ads I've ever seen. Given the abject [R] policy failures that led to the pathetic state of the country that was handed over to Obama, he has had a great 200 days. America is on the rebound. The only people who do not see it, or won't admit to it, are the rightwing underbelly of this nation who continue to hope and work for the goal that the Obama administration and the whole country fails, just so they and their boy Bush look better in comparison. And these are the very people who deludedly beat their chests about patriotism!

Talk about denial: how about a party that is in political free-fall, with continuing support only from such extreme rightwing elements that they would have been welcomed with open arms by the Nazis, actually trying to depict a successful president at the beginning of his administration as the one in denial? America's rightwing would make Hitler and Goering proud.

How typical of CNN. Since they backed out of running the Lou Dobbs ad by Media Matters, it’s clear that CNN is just another piece of garbage stinking up the airways. I’m curious as to whether faux news was also approached? I read that Dobbs’ rating have declined by 15%. I wonder what CNN’s ratings overall are like. I personally would never watch them again if I were a viewer. I only watch MSNBC’s The Ed Shultz show, Countdown, and The Rachel Maddow show. I’d advise you all to do the same

The republicans are obstructionists, plain and simple. They don't seem to care about the country (what happened to "Country First"), they just want to destroy and obstruct anything Pres. Obama tries to do.

The repubs don't care if the policies and programs help us, the American people, they just want Obama to fail.

  24. PROUD to be the Party of NO socialism!

There is no reason to deny that conservatives want to wreck the Obama administration. Of course that's what we want. The sooner Little Barry Socialist is out of office, the faster the real rebuilding of America can begin. Liberty, growth, an end to out of control government and a principled foreign policy based on freedom and not appeasement.
