Start spreading the news: Palin in New York

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Sarah Palin, who kept a relatively low profile for immediately after stepping down as Alaska governor, has stepped back into the limelight."]

(CNN) - Sarah Palin, who has kept a relatively low profile immediately after stepping down as Alaska governor, stepped back into the limelight with a visit to the media capital of the country.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate - in town to meet with the publisher of her upcoming book - dined Tuesday night at New York's storied media haven, Michael's Restaurant, with a group that included husband Todd and attorney Bob Barnett. The party - which arrived without a reservation, according to Michael's Manager Danny DiVella - requested a table in the front of the restaurant. A crowd gathered outside to catch a glimpse of the group through the window.

This morning, a jeans-clad Palin was spotted on 5th Avenue and 55th Street with her husband and daughter Piper, carrying her baby son Trigg. There has been no announcement of when her next public appearance may be.

Palin's first public post-resignation comments came at a National Rifle Association event in Anchorage over the weekend which did not include reporters.

I hope she has a successful trip! She is a classy lady that is exactly what this nation needs! Too bad there are so many who love to bad-mouth her without really knowing her. I would love to see them try and hold up under the attacks that she has been under.

You have no business being in a city where the majority of people are college educated and can speak in full sentences.

Go to Mississippi where no one cares about books or polictics.

Try winking in Harlem honey. Lets see how well that is received you joke of a politician.

This woman hasn't a clue that a majority of women are embarassed by her continued bizzaire behavior. She should follow the old saying ":your walk talks louder than you talk talks"/ She says no thing then does another. Get it together Sarah!

Enough with this woman, she knows nothing and shes just as dumb as a cucumber. What a hypocrite this woman is, one minute she says the media is evil then she goes to the media capital N.Y. and gives a speech. If I was in the media, I wouldn't televise anything she does or say. But like all the MSM, they only care about ratings.

And they thought all the haters were at the town hall meetings this week. Looks like most of them are on this page. Sarah is a lot classier than the liberal deadbeats that post here.

She won't run for elected office again.
She now knows there is WORK involved in being an elected official, and she doesn't want any part of that.
But she does want money & publicity (note the request for a table up front by the window so she could be seen).
She'll run her mouth and continue to make a total fool of herself (and get paid well for it) until, finally, the media & the public will tire of her and hopefully she will then fade away into oblivion.

The media can't help but cover her.

It's like watching a train wreck or multi-car pile-up. It's horrible, frightening and dangerous, but you just CAN'T look away!

For all those who denigrate the intelligence and education of Sarah Palin, I pose this question. If all the educated and intelligent folks are in D.C. why is the country in such a mess? She wasn't there when the economy was going in the tank and they were twiddling their thumbs. You have to wonder about our national leaders. They were either too arrogant and lazy to keep their eye on the ball, or they were blinded by their own ideology or they have become so corrupt that they only care about the money they can squeeze out of us or they want to be able to feel good about themselves by spending our hard earned tax dollars like a bunch of drunks on a binge. Take your pick. But it aint Sarahs fault. After all they are the smart ones, right!.
