Senator's cancer surgery 'successful'

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Connecticut, is "resting comfortably" after undergoing surgery Tuesday to treat prostate cancer, his office announced.

Dodd recently revealed that he had been diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer. His doctor described the surgery as "successful," adding that the Connecticut Democrat "is expected to be in the hospital for a few days."

"It is anticipated that he will be able to return to full activity within a few weeks," Dr. Peter Scardino, chairman of the Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, said in the statement released by Dodd's office.

    Glad Dodd can rest ....
.... if I had a 6-figure cushy government job, gold-plated healthcare plan, and a sweet-heart mortgage deal... I'd be resting comfortably too!

    Dodd needs a permanent vacation!

ABY PERSON THAT REALLY THINKS THAT IS TRUE needs to get a REAL LIFE and stop listening to all the talk shows.

Or maybed they just need to be sick and learn that their PRIVAT SECTOR insurance company droped them and they paid all these years for NOTHING lkike so many others in this country.

Sen. Dodd will have plenty of time to rest when he's defeated for
    re-election by the voters.

Great news and let this serve as a warning to all men to have their prostate checked, especially those concerned about healthcare.

Now he can get back to his primary role of screwing the American people. Too bad there weren't "complcations" during surgery.

He'll be all rested and relaxated to get another sweetheart deal on a mortgage and then play stupid when accused special treatment.

So they are invited onto CNN, to give their views. But they still try to twist it to their own advantage.

Did he stand in queue for his surgery? They do not think of common man on the street. They can get all the luxuries and now they want us to accept Universal health Plan. Today Barack was in NH telling lies to people. If he had guts he should have kept the town hall meeting open to the public. He borught his own friendly people to show that we can accept his plan. Go away.. Go back to Chicago.

I know that it is a nice opportunity for neo cons to make a point about the fact that his healthcare was taken care of here in the U.S.A. but I would like to point out that he had insurance, as our senators all do. What if he didn't? Somehow I don't think those complaining about it have that problem to worry about!

Chris Dodd is the poster child for everything bad about politicians.
We do wish him well – with the assistance of his congressionl insurance.
However, it IS time for him and – I would suggest – most of the congressional incumbants to be voted out.
The general public and the president deserve people who will find real solutions, NOT defend lame political solutions.
